I have just noticed that you enhanced list of Emily's events by various links. God job.
It is interesting that during one month (April - May) Emily had got 6 performances (events). And now: the rest of May, June, July and part of August she has nothing. I don't believe that she plans to have a rest. It would be too long time without any new messages about Emily. I hope she will be invited somewhere.
I was very happy when I saw those new Emily's pictures on her facebook page we posted also here on forum but I noticed just yesterday that there is also written there another new Emily's upcoming performance:
Noche de Ninos Gala May 8, 2010, Beverly Hilton, Los Angeles, CA
I still keep missing the important stuff on Facebook ...
Emily was honored to be asked to perform at the Noche de Ninos Gala to benefit The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. She performed an original composition that she wrote for the occasion titled, "Tomorrow's Wishes". It is Emily's belief that every child should have many, many tomorrow's and many, many wishes. She got to meet many special people and was proud to be part of such a special cause.
And here is last year's entry. I hope the contacts there are still valid ...
On Saturday, May 9, 2009, the Beverly Hilton will be THE place to be as Noche de Niños kicks off another unforgettable star-studded evening of international glamour and top of the line entertainment. Our special guests this year include Jennifer Lope...z, Annette Bening and Warren Beatty. We are also pleased to welcome cast members from the hit show Dancing with the Stars, child prodigy pianist Emily Bear and more. Please contact the Special Events department at 323-361-5972 or SpecialEvents-AT-chla.usc.edu for information about sponsorship opportunities or to purchase tickets for this special event.
I only wanted to update some date of one future Emily's event. I have to correct one bad date of "28th Annual Young Steinway Concert" to November 1, 2009. You can find information about it on Emily's website and also on this page:
Emily Bear, piano eight years old, Emily Bear began her piano studies with Emilio del Rosario at age four. She currently studies piano with Mary Sauer of the Chicago Symphony and The New Music School. Additional mentors include Yoheved Kaplinsky, head of the Juilliard piano department, and jazz teacher Alan Swain. Emily is equally comfortable playing classical, jazz, and her own compositions. Emily made her solo debut at the Ravinia Music Festival at the age of five, and was the youngest performer in Ravinia history. She performed at the White House in 2008 and appeared three times on The Ellen Degeneres Show, playing original songs on each appearance. She performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto K. 488 with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra and the Champaign-Urbana Symphony last spring, and has appeared with the Orlando Symphony Orchestra. Emily has released two CDs and has been featured on numerous television news stories. She is home-schooled and loves ballet (and all dance) and sports.
some data are not very actual
------------------
I am a bit confused about information on Emily's facebook page where one event (Rockford Symphony Orchestra) is written with date Sunday, March 28, 2010. So I suppose it is mistake. It was at that date this year.
Based on this article Emily has new/another performance in November.

PS. Ticket price is quite interesting. However If I could attend this event I would pay it. ;D
thanks for that new date. The last days I had almost no time to get on any forum, so it is great we have you here to search all the most important things. Thank you again!
There is one video (slideshow) about Emily at that page. I think it is good to look at it.
However, I need your help. I don't know if my memory is so short or what but I don't remember that I would see so far last picture from that slideshow. Yes, Emily was many times in that pose but I don't remember that dark blue dress.
There is also another page but with the same info:
I'm not sure about the picture but it is early on she looks about 6 in the photo...but here is the picture that I thought was interesting. It is from Emily's first visit to Ellen and the interview we've never seen.
based on Emily's website, Emily has another performance on December 12th:
2009 Children's Ball - Magical Moments - Emily will be featured at This years, 2009 Children's Ball, benefitting Children's Memorial Hospital of Chicago. The Medical Research Institute Council (MRIC) of Children's Memorial Hospital invites you to attend the annual Children’s Ball, Magical Moments, on Saturday, December 12th. PS: I hope Emily is already well as she should perform on Saturday.
I was three days away and after return I found good news. It looks Emily will perform in February 7th in Elmhurst. More details based on this article:
Piano prodigy to perform in Music at Bethel Submitted by Renee Tomell on January 28, 2010 - 6:46pm
Emily Bear, an 8-year-old piano prodigy from Rockford, will perform in concert along with Music at Bethel’s own Artistic Director Jeffrey Panko in a program titled “Parisian Masterpieces: Piano Works by Chopin and Ravel.” Panko will present favorite selections including the Sonata No. 3 in B minor by Chopin, and Ravel’s “Jeux d’eau.” Emily performed at the White House in 2008, and has appeared numerous times on “The Ellen Degeneres Show.”
The concert begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at Bethel United Church of Christ, 315 E. St. Charles Road, Elmhurst. Immediately following the performance, audience members are invited to attend a Meet the Artist dinner at The Standard Restaurant. A 15 percent discount on the meal is available to those attending the concert; call the church office at (630) 279-4040 for information and dinner reservations.
Emily began her piano studies with Emilio del Rosario at age 4. She currently studies piano with Mary Sauer of the Chicago Symphony and The New Music School. Emily is equally comfortable playing classical, jazz and her own compositions. Emily made her solo debut at the Ravinia Music Festival at age 5, and was the youngest performer in Ravinia history.
She performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto K. 488 with the Rockford Symphony Orchestra and the Champaign-Urbana Symphony last spring. Emily was a recipient of a 2008 ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Competition award for her original song “Northern Lights.” She was one of nine winners in the 18-year-old and younger category out of a field of almost 600 applicants. She was asked to be one of two pianists to perform at the awards ceremony. Emily has released two compact discs and been featured on numerous television news stories.
Concert tickets cost $20, $18 for seniors and $5 for students.
Upcoming performances for Music at Bethel include “Chamber Music at Bethel,” showcasing The Millennium Chamber Players, at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 7; and the season finale, featuring the flute and harp duo Voilá, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8.
I sure wish I could go to this but the only way would be to fly in and out on Sunday...I think there will be other opportunities to see Emily play...hopefully Ravinia this summer.

eulenspiegel2: most things have some delay because of the custom service...and very likely Emily and Abigail did not pay for speed shifting/transport...

Ursula: Unfortunately I can't read the German forum. Sigh. Too bad they haven't said anything. You'd think their lawyers would come out with a statement at the least. And they keep posting on social media like everything is normal.
Sept 7, 2022 23:14:39 GMT -6
Ursula: Also why is that other forum in German. Why not English?
Sept 7, 2022 23:15:55 GMT -6
eulenspiegel2: it is a German forum...about German pop singer... you may be surprised...but the USA is not the center of the world - it is like US people coming to Europe wondering why not signs in English ..

ursus: Ursula, Google Translate works very well if you translate from German into English and you just need to understand the meaning of what was written. It does still require an understanding of German if you want to use it to post in that language.

ursus: IIRC B&B's lawyers have until 9/23 to respond to the lawsuit. It would not make sense for them to make a public statement before that. B&B themselves have undoubtedly been instructed not to say anything either. That makes sense to me.

mastersgttom: For the benefit of all the members and the guests who visit this site be advised that there is a You Tube video out there of Barlow and Bear doing a live stream. The video was posted by Epic Wonderland. Where she got it I have no clue.
Mar 8, 2024 12:53:33 GMT -6
mastersgttom: The video of the live stream cannot be found on any of their social media platforms. At least from any of my feeble attempts. The video is a bit hard to watch because the audio is totally out of sync with the video.
Mar 8, 2024 12:58:25 GMT -6
mastersgttom: What I got out of the video was that it had nothing to do with Moana. They were very mum about their work on that movie. Bling Ring came up in some of the comments. A bit odd that they have a live stream out there, writing music, and not making it public.

mastersgttom: Wow! I just noticed that it has been a little over a year since anyone has posted anything in this Shoutbox. Eluenspiegel was the last one. I messaged him this discovery a week ago but haven't heard back. He used to be the most active member here.
