Hi, I saw on youtube one video that attracted my attention because man in it can spontaneously apply various musical styles on one song (theme). Petee PS: However we know that Emily can also improvise very good so I think she can do that in her favorite styles too without any problem.

I found some great pianists a while ago, just never thought to put them up here.
This is from my favorite movie, How To Train Your Dragon, arranged and performed by Sebastian Wolff. He is really great! I only wish I could play like this!
I wonder is Emily ever takes music from movies and starts playing them on the piano.
Also ThePianoGuys are really good. There is also a cellist in this group, which is very awesome!
I hope you all enjoy these!

This is something I found, it is Joshua Bell said to be one of the best violinists in the world, watch the first video, then the second
Is life so hurried that sometimes you can't stop and smell the roses, or in this case listen to the music.

Hi Don,
I've read that story about Joshua Bell from that metro. I have to admit I didn't know him so far and probably would do the same like all people there. Yes, this age is so fast so hurried so hectic. However, I know that it never happens but if Emily would play there I would immediately stop there no matter where I would be going. Every time I attend Emily's performance I want to stop time but while I want to stop it the performance is over and I am sad. That's why I want to film every Emily's performance because despite I can not fully enjoy that moment I can enjoy it later hundred times.

Murray Gold (the person who writes music for Doctor Who) has his own youtube channel now! ;D
If anyone happens to know what instrument this is, I would really like to know!

The german " Emily" Laetitia Hahn - 8years old
After I read some articles: There are quite some similarities between Emily and Laetitia. Laetitia wanted to learn playing the piano when she was 2 but there was no teacher so she played freely and started to compose. When she was 4 she started her lessons. As she also plays the violin her recent teacher is Prof. Ida Bieler (Violonist) Robert Schumann University Düsseldorf. Her IQ is higher than 140 (in one article 144) When she was 8 weeks old she showed on her surprised mothers head who thought that babys cannot talk and said "Haare"(hairs) when she was 2 she began to read and learned " English in her sleep" In an article in the german magazine "Spiegel" it is said that she learns Chinese,( now also Latin an recently Acient Greece) and likes to read books about Plato in English. Last year when she was 7 she was on 2 TV shows. Part of the show in the public channel you find on youtube. ( and her father)
In this part she plays a small piece she composed. Like Emily she needed only 10 minutes but a day to write it down. In the private show on the private channel she played on the violin and then on the keyboard of the bandleader. Search at google for Laetitia Hahn and Stefan Raab. Like Emily she wants to be a composer and a pianist but she also wants to be a palaentologist and wants to dig out dinosaurs. If she continues her school career she will get the high school degree when she is 12 years old.

Hi, sarah, that boy is really unreal. I think I already saw him but it is always surprising how he starts to play how professionally. I love moments before he starts to play and after he starts to play. Before .. he is a child after ... he is a professional and then when he finishes play he is again child. eulenspiegel, Laetitia Hahn looks very clever. And she is in some ways similar to Emily. However, she doesn't have a lot videos on youtube and I would like to see and hear some of her compositions. Petee

The next similarity between Laetitia and Emily. Laetitia won a music lesson with Lang Lang, also Emily did win her lesson or her masterclass or whatever. If you cannot start this link search at bild.de for Laetitia Klavierstunde. There seems to be also a short video. wap.bild.de/bild/json.bild.de/servlet/json/wap/26283498.html

Tomorrow 15th November is the 70th birthday of Daniel Barenboim. There will be a concert in the Berlin Philarmonie. He will play - Beehoven 3rd Piano Concert - Tschaikowsky 1st Piano Concert Berliner Staatskapelle Conductor: Zubin Mehta www.accentus.com/en/media.htmlThe French/German culture channel ARTE will be broadcasting this event at 20:15 (MEZ) After the concert there will be also two docus about Barenboim on this channel. The money which is earned by this event goes to the Music Kindergarten in Berlin which was founded by Barenboim in 2005. I don't know if this channel is availlable in the US - perhaps on Internet. I can only recommend this event. One of the world best pianist with one of the world best orchestras.
