Emily in Alaska, back in 1970 and 1971 I few into Anchorage 4 times to and from Vietnam, all 4 times it was one of the strangest landings I've ever experienced even to this date, we would come out of the mountains and go, what felt like, straight down then level out and land, it was the same all 4 times. Now that was over 40 years ago and the approach may have changed since then by adding runways. Believe it or not the next scariest landing is San Diego, Ca.

Don, perhaps your pilot was Herbert von Karajan.-) A few years ago I saw a docu about him. He had a licence and this kind of landing was his personal style when he landed in Salzburg-) If you type "Anchorage landing" in youtube you can find a few videos so you are able to refresh yor memories-) But here is Discovery Theatre Anchorage Maximum Seating: 700

I flew in and out of San Diego a few times, and YES, it is quite interesting to say the least. Those pilots and air traffic controllers definitely earn their money!

hosepipe don't you have some suggestions for Emily , perhaps you should invite her I would suggest a visit in in an Inuit village, a concert in an Inuit school and making some music with them (mix of traditional Inuit music and Emily would be interesting) Perhaps she gets an inspiration for a new song. They are also able to show her the bears and the whales and not the normal tourist places Extremely excited to perform in Alaska at Anchorage Concert Association on Saturday, September 27! It will be my 1st time in Alaska - open to any suggestions for things to do there as we will have 2 days free to explore Heard there are some Bear's there.... www.anchorageconcerts.org/_events/bea.php

So it it seems already over 600 tickets are sold- There are under 100 tickets left for Emily Bear this Saturday night at the Center! If you are hoping to see this... fb.me/1mtHC6f7H alaskapac.centertix.net/eventperformances.asp?evt=1294"An Amazing Pint-Sized Talent Not only does she compose, orchestrate and perform a wide-range of genres, what's most impressive is she has done it all before getting a learners permit. At just 12 years old, Emily Bear has accomplished more than most musicians will in a lifetime. She began publishing songs at age three and her big break came when she performed on the Ellen DeGeneres show at age six. Emily's appropriately titled debut album "Diversity" describes the songstress's talents to a tee"

First short review on twitter- I LOVED the @emilybearmusic concert! BTW, your pretty unnamed song sounds like the beauty, sparkles, and solitude of The First Snowfall. I think she means the Pretty Song, here in El Paso, April 2014 Its interesting people who live in warmer places think when you read the sugestions e.g. of spring etc., s.o. who lives in Alaska first snowfall. If someone of the audience reads this it would be great if someone wrote a report and posted it in the forum in this thread. First reactions on facebook "The show was great" "Hi Emily, I was at your concert tonight in Anchorage. Loved all of it!!! My suggestion for your first untitled song is "Dappled Sunshine." Thanks for sharing your amazing God-given talent with us!"
