Thanks for posting this eulenspiegel, but unable to get the audio portion, anyone else experiencing this problem? I have seen Emily's piano part but would love to hear what she has to say during the interview piece. Try again or in HD!!! version, here I have no problem. In the talk the hosts asks the speakers e.g. about important people and mentors in the speakers life. Emily realtes to her mother and Quincy Jones, but also to Vada Kaplinsky ( head of the piano department of Juilliard) When Emily was very young and after some month at Juilliard Kaplinsky said that she could not do this anymore. Emily would have a great chance to become a well classical pianist, if she really loved to, but ascKaplinsks saw that Emily loved really to play jazz, compose, orchestrate music, make film music, Kaplinsky called other teachers and so Emily got trained more in the other fields. You could she a real glad face of Emily that nobody forced her to become a classical concert pianist and that she blossomed in the other fields. On another question Emily pointed out, that she thinks that music is dying at school, there is too much preference on sports specially football but no arts. So she would like to promote arts especially music for school education. When asked by one of the other speakers how much she practices per day it turns out that the practices up to 5-6 hours per day, but not only drilling at the piano, also composing, orchestrating etc. She also likes watersports and one of her favourite hobbies is summer camp each year ... I hopr you understand what I wrote. I typed it quick and as I am German...

Thank you very much for the reply to my post eulenspiegel and your English was perfect. Emily's forum is eternally grateful for all your contributions to it, I'm sure that all who frequently view it, as I do, will echo these sentiments. I'm checking in 5 or 6 times daily just to see what's new in Emily's life and it is always the highlight of my day when some new posts are there for me to enjoy. Thanks again eulenspiegel, keep up the good work.

Thanks to Don and Eulenspiegel for the YouTube posts on the talk portion of Emily's appearance on Chicago Ideas Week. Greatly appreciated. Emily's maturity, humanity and kind heart was very evident in that piece. I can't imagine how famous this young lady is destined to be, the sky's the limit. I just hope I am around long enough to see her reach any lofty height she chooses to pursue. Good job guys, can't wait until your next post.
