Ok, lets face it: This concert in Switzerland is a Flop. No press, no TV, nothing on Social Media, no Smartphone-Vids on Youtube, as of 11:00 A.M. on Sunday - it seems that the audience wasn't impressed. As I see it, no Reason for a Party.... Thats absolutely .... Recording was not allowed. The only video so far on youtube a song of Jan Delay (german musician - interval act ESC 2011) Even nothing of Sir Bob Geldof although there was a big party despite the weather. It has nothing to with Emily. If there will be videos.I don't know. petee were you able to record? It was literally raining cats and dogs during Emily's performance. What I read so far the people who were there were impressed. Someone posted photos in comments on Emily's fb. Rapperswil is a relatively small event. Btw. sucess has nothing to do with social media, smartphone vids - as I said - Geldof etc. nothing. In a kind of way the audience at Rapperswil were an old school audience. They listened to the music. If there are press articles I will link them. Btw. when you look at reactions every year about Montreux concerts...very few...

Maybe its time for eating Crows... I found this...I tried to translate the report (or at least the piece about Emily) with a little help from Google: “But already at 8:00 P.M. it began to rain heavily. Nevertheless, as far as the umbrellas allowed, the crowd pushed forward to admire the almost 16-year-old jazz pianist Emily Bear, who has already played for Barak Obama, at Carnegie Hall, and in Montreux. And that was really worth it: More pristine Jazz was not heard this year at the Blues'n'Jazz-Fesival. With incredibly ease and sovereignty, their hands flew over the keys, the young American seemed completely relaxed. Likewise, she introduced her songs: the following song was for Grandma, she had written it as a nine-year-old, and was dedicated to her mentor Quincy Jones. At all, her appearance aroused a light-heartedness, which enthralled the audience from the beginning. The teenager, her bassist and the percussionist were sure of the applause. Meanwhile, on the “fish market” place, Popa Chubby at the same time played his loud and wild bluesrock - which is a contrast to Bear's intimate jazz play.”

Hi all, I always write some "report" from trip to see Emily, so here first part is. It was two years ago I saw Emily in person in Stuttgart last time and it is quite a very long time for me. Fortunately, this year Emily came again to Europe and I could not miss this opportunity. The concert was great, Emily was great and as always she was shining and full of energy. I think it is visible on every photo. I am happy because I was as close to stage and to Emily as was possible. You can see me on some photos as Eulen already mentioned. It is a shame that some other fans from forum didn't come. I realize that Switzerland is so expensive. I experienced it four times so far (always visiting Emily's performance. I really don't think that this concert was a Flop (as Wolfgang wrote). There were a lot of people applauding but because of raining a lot of them were hiding under the trees. And Emily "had" to play two more songs at the end (my favorite Alika and Bumble Boogie). The only problem was raining, raining and raining. I was afraid of that but I didn't expect raining during entire Emily's performance. It also influenced my ability to film this event. On the one hand it was not allowed to film this event, you could use smartphones but only for taking pictures without flash. However, I started to film it (secretly) but after some minutes I really had to stop because my video-camera was wet and I didn't want to risk its functionality (it wasn't cheap). Emily also played new composition but I forgot its name. Maybe I remember later. As I also posted on my facebook this event with Emily is my another unforgettable experience and even that rain amplified my experience I will never forget. Despite the fact I was quite completely wet (because I have been resisting for a long time until I used my umbrella). Peter

petee I could not come. I also talked with Manuel after concert was announced - he also told me that it was not possible for him. Normally he vistis every concert he is interested in even if its in the US Dieter - I don't know. I knew for month that I did not get a free day at work.I If I would have gotten a few days..... Btw. I admire you in a kind of way About the weather: Sadly Kachelmann weather app was correct - as always...three days earlier one could see rain What about rhe few minutes you recorded? Will you make them available? I promise that I will visit next concert in Swiss if the date will be announced earlier. April, May is too late for me, Its nearly impossible to get free working days ...if Emily announces in December/January next July.... But I also think that more Germans would have come to Austria, France, etc. If one travels with family two children...you could make nearly a whole summer holiday anywhere. In a kind of way swiss tourism is dead even many swiss buy their food in Germsny if they live at border. You have to think ...Germany one of the richest countries in the world its impossible to make a holiday for normal German family in Swiss. As I said - you are positively crazy I would have been crazy too If I has got a few free days. There are some restaurants you pay - chicken, french fries - 50/60$ ....Pizza Margarita - 20€ in $?

Hi all, it is always great to see Emily performing but it is also unforgettable when you can spend a few minutes with Emily after concert. And Andrea (Emily's mum) is always so nice to me and allowed me that, so I could ask Emily to sign another CD, ask Emily some question (although in that moment I always forget all of them and I am more less speechless) but I can not leave without photo with Emily. So here it is (my treasure): Petee

Hi all, this is the last part of my report from Rapperswil. I hope you will like it. I mentioned that I had to stop filming the concert after some minutes because of raining but at least those 11 minutes I want to share with you so you can a bit feel atmosphere of concert. This video contains following songs: - Indigo - Salsa Americana - 134 West The new composition I mentioned that Emily played was Into the blue. As Emily said she played it second time in the world and first time in Europe. Peter
