It certainly sounds like she will be appearing on Ellen again. I would think that she discussed that with Ellen while working on the Nancy Drew movie.
BTW, A Dog's Journey will be opening at many more movie theaters than Nancy Drew: The Hidden Staircase did, and I assume that it will stay around longer also.

www.mystateline.com/news/music-played-by-rockford-native-emily-bear-featured-in-a-dog-s-journey-/1997955297 Music played by Rockford native Emily Bear featured in "A Dog's Journey"ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) - Music played by a Rockford native is featured in the new film "A Dog's Journey." At a young age of 17 years old, Emily Bear has achieved groundbreaking musical success as a pianist, composer and songwriter. Bear's musical talent landed her an opportunity to play as the feature piano soloist for the film score of "A Dog's Journey." The film was composed by Mark Isham. She attended the premiere of the film Saturday. She says she is excited to be a part of the film with two dogs of her own. "It's a beautiful, beautiful score and it complements the movie," Bear said on Fab TV. "You're going to need all the tissues you can get." The film premieres May 17th. The soundtrack can be pre-ordered online. Bear was photographed with actor Dennis Quad, who starred in the film, and composer Mark Isham in a Facebook post. This is not the first time Bear's music has been featured in a film. Two songs, written and performed by Bear, were featured in "Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase."
