Hi everyone, It has been such a long time since I came here! Hello everyone and welcome new members I came across this You Tube video today, and I really thought, could this be Emily in 10 years time. I don't mean to make comparisons or say Emily will be exactly like this - but something about this video in particular (there are other videos of this pianist) captures a kind of 'Emily Bear' spirit. Especially her facial expressions (at 0:08 and 0:50-0:55), and youthful joy and soul in her piano playing, really remind me of Emily. Also it is a very fine performance of a Chopin etude (technically and musically). You can see she is having fun, she is smiling all the way through Having said that, looking into the future, I'm fairly confident Emily could be this technically brilliant by late teens and early 20s. That is, I secretly hope she concentrates more on classical music (she will have to choose at some point, to specialize on classical or jazz). I think Emily could bring alot to Chopin's compositions. Love, Allegra ;D

It is not very obvious to see smile on faces of adult pianists, but this woman doesn't have a problem to express her joy from playing in this way. I like it and I also like her as she plays and smiles. I hope that Emily doesn't lose her beautiful smile with increasing age. I don't know why but this video remainded me another video of Heather Martin (I like her voice). Maybe you will like it. Petee

1st post here Hi all. To the point: I have no doubt Emily will achieve this kind of proficiency with the keyboard or even beyond. Truth be told, I would expect her to be able to compose pieces of this magnitude herself and not just interprete the everlasting masterpieces of classical masters. As I watched what this little girl is able to do and with what ease today, the comparisons to Mozart seem justified. Composing mature pieces at the age of 6. Only 10 minutes to make fully developed wonderful tunes. Dozens of songs composed by the age of 7. Ability to play a song just from hearing it once... Those are not skills anyone can learn. I am positive, if there is a scientific explanation for such abilities (say a special gene or brain structure difference), both Emily and Mozart could be 'diagnosed' with it. So, I realised we could just be happy enough to be living in another musical genius' days.
