I think they may have announced something on Emily's Facebook about that; I think March of next year? I don't know where it'll be, but I think maybe MA or PA or somewhere in New England. I don't remember.

When I met Emily in Chicago, my mom, sister, and I ended up spending most of the time with Mrs. Bear, since Emily was in a lesson. I asked Mrs. Bear about a few things (I don't feel at liberty to say what specifically I asked about) and I didn't get direct answers to all of them, but she did say that they have some surprises planned. I have no idea when these surprises will happen (I don't know what any of them are), but perhaps they've been busy with some of them.

I'm in Chicago and we ran into her on the street! You must have been so HAPPY! I'm so jealous Why is Emily holding so many balloons? For her birthday? Aha! No...there was a guy who walked by with a huge bunch of balloons for some event or something and Mrs. Bear pulled him over and asked if we could borrow his balloons for a picture.

Well, that post was made yesterday; that's enough time for album status to change.

Also, none of meredes' story even makes any sense. Nobody wakes up and "realizes that they can read music and compose." I mean, ANYONE can compose, whether they can read music or not. But nobody just wakes up and can magically read music. Emily didn't. Mozart didn't. I didn't (obviously). Could she have taught herself to read sheet music? Absolutely. But the stuff that is very obviously made up just makes her look silly and non-credible. Especially since she can't really play!
Also, she claims to have "gotten the attention of Julliard." Sure. Just like I got the attention of Oberlin by asking for an information brochure. The thing I saw on her page from Julliard was a form letter that is sent to anyone who asks for information. You know the type, the one that says, "Come up and visit on our visiting weekends, tour the campus, meet our professors, etc." Getting a form letter doesn't mean you've "gotten the attention of them." When I took the PSAT (a pre-college placement test), I filled in "music" as my intended major. I got brochures from a ton of different schools with good music programs. I got their attention I expressed an interest in their specialty on a standardized test and because they wanted my money. Not because they had ever heard me play.
And the excuses she makes in her videos for her poor playing are ridiculous! Full-size keys on a Steinway vs. mini-size keys on a Baldwin (or another brand) upright? There's a minimal difference, if any. A hole in her hand? Who is she? Jesus? Pulled tendons? From playing part of one basic piece? Emily's been playing complicated pieces for over half her life and hasn't had any problems. Bench height making her arms hurt? I've played on benches where the piano was literally in my lap and I've played on pianos where the bench is so low that I almost have to reach up to get to the keys. Do my arms hurt? Maybe a little, but not enough to mess me up the way she was messing up!
Oh, and if you call yourself a prodigy, you're probably not a prodigy. She'll either get a clue one of these days and get some lessons and actually start progressing or keep going the way she - and her fans - is going and fall on her face.

Trini, there was just a post a few minutes ago on Emilys facebook page that Emily had been bulliying Mercedes Barella so that it had affected the health of this girl. Could you write a short statement because you know the backriound and of the multiple accounts I think that the people should know that victim and offender were he other way round!!!!! Okay, I know for a fact that that what this person posted is complete and utter B.S. I had pointed out a few comments to the Bears - the comments were then removed - and said a few things to the trolls, most of whom were just there to bash Emily. I have been monitoring her pages and site and stuff, but I know that a few comments on YouTube won't make you sick or injured. This girl is way too sensitive and I think that if she is really as confident in her skills as she - and everyone else - says she is, a couple of comments - or deletion of a few comments from videos that aren't even about her - shouldn't do a thing to her or her "health." I've had people troll my videos - different people than the people who were on Emily's videos - saying "You're stupid enough to love someone else's music? What is that doing for your career?" I play for fun, and I'm confident in my ability to play the piano, so I got a good laugh out of those comments and removed them to avoid sparking debates in my videos. So if this Mercedes person is such a prodigy and has the confidence she claims to have, these comments shouldn't be affecting her. If this person who was on Emily's Facebook really WAS a musician - which I am beyond sure that he was NOT - he wouldn't be promoting Mercedes. If he was highly acclaimed, he probably wouldn't even know who she was; she can play, but she's nothing phenomenal. If he was indeed a musician, he would either A.) like Mercedes and leave Emily alone or B.) be praising Emily. I'm not a musician in the sense that Emily or a college professor is, but I know my stuff. I've played all of the pieces Mercedes (tries to) play and none of the pieces she plays are played correctly. That fact in and of itself completely invalidates any claims of "being a music professor" that any of Emily's anti-fans make. Now, I know that there IS a Frank Pam. However, going on what I said above, I don't believe for one second that he left that comment. I've been on Mercedes' Facebook pages - personal and public, as they're both linked on her channel - and she's made accounts for all of the Mozarts, so I don't doubt for a minute that she or one of her family members could have made an account pretending to be Frank Pam. The bottom line is, that person was NOT the real Frank Pam. A few YouTube comments should not (and I dare say CAN not) "affect her health." And Mercedes needs a good dose of humility - and some good piano lessons - if she actually wants to get anywhere with her piano playing. Plus, as Absoftitanium on YouTube said about the Emily bashers, "The way [these people] are acting, nobody will even WANT to know who Mercedes is. I know I don't." If you're a fan of someone, you promote that person; you don't tear someone - who is known around the world - else down. It makes you look stupid and immature, which is not a good way to promote someone.
