Ukulele? What about a Cover from Grace Vanderwaal? Joke aside, I purchased the Song as a mp3 file, and it sounds great on my Stereo System.

I wish Emily all the best. It looks like interesting times lie ahead. I am curious to see where the journey will take her.
And thanks to the moderators for their efforts.

Step 1: Turn on the Computer. It's about 6:45 A.M. Step 2: Read the digital Newspaper Step 3: Have some time left? Google for "Emily Bear" for the last 24 Hours and... there is something new Step 4: Go to proboards/Emily Bear Step 5: Eulenspiegel has posted it several hours ago ! Now I am totally convinced that this guy has an infernal device in his Bedroom, scanning every hour or so 24/7. Of course, with acustical alarm...

In my opinion, Jackie Evancho has reached a dead end. She quickly had to learn that the genre "Classical Crossover" finds only a limited audience even in a big market like the USA. Other singers, such as Charlotte Church, have also turned to pop music for this reason and have perished in the process. The only exception is Sarah Brightman - a special case for various reasons. What Emily has ahead of such artists is their versatility. Even if she doesn't succeed in a career as a pop star, she can play jazz and classical music on the piano, work as a producer or compose film music. I'm sure she will go her own way. But I thought the same about Nikki Yanofsky - and I was seriously wrong... Translated (almost) with www.DeepL.com/Translator

Emily sings far better than I would have expected after her first appearance as a singer. And the songs are really good. Still, I don't believe in a career as a pop singer. In the USA the competition is big. I know I'm the pessimist on duty again, but the work on her EP will probably be a loss-making business. Much more important are the experiences she can gain with this project. The situation is different with her work on the film. Apparently she composed and recorded the entire film music. That is a strong achievement for such a young woman without an exam. Of course I will watch this film if it comes to the cinemas here in Germany. By the way: The samples on the website of Kraft-Engel seem to come from this Nancy-Drew movie except for "Aurora". A character named Flora plays along, and one of the titles is named "Flora's House"... Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator

First of all, I am glad that this board is alive and kicking (sort of...) and that eulenspiegel is on board again. I just visited the forum dedicated to Jackie Evancho for a quick look, and it seems that ursus got it right: A forum about a single artist can certainly exist. It all depends on the number of members, their commitment and, of course, the number of news and topics worth discussing. As I said in my first post in this thread, if Emily ends up as a producer and composer of movie scores, how much stuff for a forum will this kind of a carrer generate? That is what I am afraid of.
And for Eulenspiegel: For me it seems that you are spreading all of your resentments regarding casting shows in your post. Do really all the casting shows use autotune? Was Grace Vanderwaal really forced to open for Imagine Dragons in an attempt to make the most money as possible? What is wrong with earplugs? Do all the young people really have no idea of the natural sound of a human voice? Or are you underestimating the knowledge and cleverness of the young generation? Did you know that Grace Vanderwaal started a Foundation named "Little Miracles" in Order to bring music to schools? A lot of questions to think about. But now, it is time for worldcup... wolfgang1959 out, for now...

I stayed away from this forum for half a year, for reasons that should not be discussed here. Or maybe, at least in part.
I'm still wondering if I should describe my own impressions of the Night of the Proms after all this time. After all, I promised it. However, another topic currently seems more important to me. It's about Emily Bears development and the future of this board. Both are closely related.
Shortly after I registered, I noticed that this forum, the first one I wanted to actively participate in, is something special, but unfortunately not always in a positive sense. So there we have a member who untiringly finds and embeds or links every relevant snippet, be it text or video. If you take all this out, there is hardly anything left, especially lately. I still remember my disappointment when the entire community refused to use my short review of "Into The Blue" as a starting point for a discussion on this EP. (I looked at my post again to make sure that my memory does not deceive me). That should not be a reproach, just an honest confession. This experience has certainly been one of the reasons to postpone the work on the promised review again and again.
Any contribution, be it just a report or filming a concert in the rain, can not be overstated.
So far, I came to the following conclusions:
1.) For me it is clear that a forum like this for a single artist, no matter how active and brilliant, is not appropriate. There are too few topics and news. Has anyone ever heard of a forum exclusively dedicated to Diana Krall, Laila Biali or Lynne Arriale? For such topics, there are other platforms that naturally have all their advantages and disadvantages: Youtube, Whatsapp, Facebook ... We should discuss this.
2.) In the beginning everything was easier: Little Emily was so sweet, there was a spirit of optimism, and everyone could project his own ideas of a brilliant career on this girl: celebrated concert pianist, composer in the rank of Mozart or leader of a jazz band? Now, the little lady is rapidly growing up and has long had her own ideas about her career. Let's face it: If she really is eyeing a carreer as producer and composer of film music, there will be even less material for this forum to post.
Writing this post for me is something of a liberation, helping me to sort my thoughts and giving me a good feeling. That would, if it doesn‘t trigger any reaction again, help to contain my disappointment . Nevertheless, I would of course prefer if I received a few answers.
P.S. I'd like to thank Google Translate for helping with the translation…

I have been there, and I was overwhelmed by the Show as a whole and the performace of all the Musicians, especially by Emily, of course. To experience all the Titans of Pop like Peter Cetera was more than the icing on the Cake.
I made neither Fotos nor Videos, for two reasons: firstly because I intended to relax and to enjoy the show, and secondly because of the poor camera built in my smartphone.
I am working on a review and some thoughts about Emily and her future, so give me some time. To write it in German is the easy part, but to translate it in a manner that the english version expresses my opinion and my thoughts is kind of a "Freak Task" for me.

And here it is.. The first (slightly) critical Review from a German Newspaper: "Höchste Töne von alten Hasen"In their Opinion, Emily played "with virtuoso, if somewhat sloppy, ..." Is sloppy the correct Word in this context? German term here is "Schlampig".... Your English, as is the case with all other Germans who post here, is better than my German. It appears to be a correct translation except that the adverbial form "sloppily" should be used. Most Americans would probably also write "sloppy". Thank you.

OK Eulenspiegel: To find Reactions and post photos is fine, but I for myself do expect a little more from a "Die-Hard-Fan" like you. What are your own impressions? Are you speechless even 24 Hours later? Come on, please...
