My dear friends,
yes, it is true. Our forum owner, manager, friend, Emily friend, and my personal friend, Donald Anton, died last week. I learned that news only today, from another kind and nice friend of mine. I am actually struck and saddened by this news. I met Don over 10 years ago in London, and on Connie Talbot's forum. Soon we became friends, and when he discovered Emily, it was just natural that we would create a place for this amazing, extraordinary talent.
I know Don as one of the kindest people I ever met. He always was cool and calm, a quality that I cannot claim for myself. Actually in many ways Don was a role model for me, and while I may know the technical details to run a forum, it was always Don who actually created the place with his very special being. I must be honest, I am shedding tears about that sad news, as I feel that I have left one of my best friends.
You certainly noticed that I have not been very active on this forum. This was for one because I am running my own business which needs a lot of time, and on the other hand because I knew that in Don's hands the forum is save, and whenever something came up were he needed help, he would just call for me, and all would be fine.
Don was the heart and soul of this forum.

Hi friends, a quick hello an big apology. You may know that I was in Munich with Peter to visit the show. And we made videos of course. Unfortunately two days later I fell quite ill with high fever ... and the destiny of frelancing, still had to stand and work. This was extremely exhausting and of course I had to be very carefull not to fall seriously ill. Now I am lying in a bed in a hotel near Frankfurt, recovering from an extremley challenging week.
I could not take a look at the video myself so far, and of course hope they are fine. Emily was mind blowing. Well, we all know her special talent, but when she played the story of the boy with cancer, hovering slowly above peoples heady, I could not think of a better way to "visualize" Emilys talent ....
Well, more as soon as I am well enough again to work on the videos, sorry again.

That's a great finding. Till. I always hoped that they would it put online. Maybe after a while we get even the TV quality record (my vcr will find it by itself ) For our friends in US, here the translation for the text beneath the video: "Jazz Open Stuttgart 2015: Emily Bear: She is 13 years old, plays piano and composes since her earliest childhood: Emily Bear is a musical nonpareil. Meanwhile Quincy Jones took her under his wings and produced the studio album "Diversity" (2013) with her. At the Jazz Open 2015 the young musician delighted audience and critics alike."

Yes, we still have some recordings of the Open Air unedited. We were only allowed in with very small cameras, so the videos may not be that good. I hope I find time to do some work on them, soon. Sorry, overloaded with work currently ...

Omg, I really feared for the piano That sounds like an interesting idea, but imagine the float turning over, would not be "piano in the sky", but piano in the lake ....

From these photos I think I can see two favorite activities of Emily, of course the piano, but also she seems to love being on or in the water.
