I don't know if it works in the USA from ~ 30:00 min on you can see the 12year old boy and Lang Lang. Lang Lang answers in English. The 12 year old won in play-off afer they both answered correctly each one three pieces . m.daserste.de/#videoplayer?id=klein-gegen-gross-das-unglaubliche-duell-102By the way the first girl should be something for Emily and Lauren. She competes against Tanja Szewchenko in ice skating pirouettes.

Today 70 years ago some of the bravest germans in history the members of the "Weiße Rose" www.in-die-zukunft-gedacht.de/icoaster/files/wei_e_rose_sz_ph_00036333.jpgwere beheaded because they made flyers against Hitler. Here is a fantastic movie, which was nominated for an Oscar. Sophie Scholl-The final days Btw Roland Freissler the despotic judge visited for five years (1903 - 1908) as he lived then in Aachen the same school, then called "Kaiser Wilhelm Gymnasium", as David Garrett. Its quite strange when you visite the Bendler Block in Berlin where e.g. Stauffenberg was killed. There are two big rooms ( kind of Walhalla) about Stauffenberg and his mates. But the others the youth resistance, the swing youth, the socialist resistance etc. have only small rooms. Stauffenberg possibly was brave but his mates were cowards. They let him do all the work. This resistance group is highly overrated. They weren't interested in this kind of democracy we now have because Germany gratefully lost the war. I don't want to know in which country I would live if Stauffenberg had been successfull.

Only for interested I found on youtube
the inaugural lecture of Prof. Frank McDonough, a highly acclaimed historian, where he speaks about Sophie Scholl ( he starts around 11:00)
I don't want to bore you but as we have some young members in this forum they can also see how University works. What I saw he seems to speak freely without looking too much on his text. There is nothing more tiresome than a professor only reading his text.-)))
If somebody wants to study law you can find some outstanding lectures from Prof.Michael Sandel ( Harvard ) on youtube. And Its all but boring-))))) On itunes there exists an app called ituneU. I can only recommend it !

I found this on twitter, on this day 89 years ago Edith Holländer married Otto Frank in my hometown ( parents of Anne and Margot Frank)
