Hi trini, you are better and better from day to day in this beautiful Christmas song. As I can not read notes it looks that you trini or Emily lengthened this song when I compare it to video Emily plays this song in and don just posted here and is almost one minute shorter. Of course, I already ordered this sheet and two of them are at my home. One for me and one as Christmas present for somebody in my family. Trini, if I meet Emily sooner than you I will try to ask her whether she saw your videos on youtube. I believe she will like how faithful her fan you are and she will like your playing of her songs especially Silent night. Or are you mailing with her? Petee

YES, she did lengthen it! Very much so! I have written to her, but I've never heard back.

Hi, y'all! So, this subforum is kinda dead, but seeing as it's about the right time for this sort of thing to be released, do you think that we'll see any more Christmas song arrangements any time soon? ;D

Hi Trini, I do not think that there will be a christmas CD, but I suggest Emily to play the two most beautiful christmas songs I know to play on her chrismas eve concert.
First: Es ist ein Ros' entsprungen
Tölzer Knabenchor, the worlds best boys choir, every boy is trained as a soloist. Some soloist are and were well known around the world. In Japan they have to sign autographs after their concerts.
or
Dresdner Kreuzchor, this also world class boy choir is kind of "rival" to the Leipziger Thomaner. The Kreuzchor is a catholic choir and the Thomaner are a protestant, each year there is a soccer match between this two schools, a kind of Oxford and Cambridge rowing.
Second: Maria durch ein Dornwald ging
( Tölzer Knabenchor)
or in a beautiful version on the lute
and also the Kreuzchor in front of supporters of the school
If Emily plays this songs she has too keep them in a simple mood without any kitsch. "Es ist ein Ros entsprungen" is the most favourite christmas song in germany I think - not "Silent night" and " Maria durch ein Dornwald ging" plays in the same league.
But for the many fans of "Silent Night" here a version by the Tölzer Knabenchor as it should be played and sung.

Oh, I would LOVE for Emily to do an arrangement of "Lo How a Rose E're Blooming" (English of Es ist ein Ros' entsprungen). That is one of my FAVORITE CHRISTMAS SONGS EVER.

There's a TON of songs that I like, but they're all really traditional and somewhat unheard of to the general public, but one that I REALLY love is The Wexford Carol. <3
