Hi all, one photo from this event (woow Emily has again new dress): Eight-year-old pianist Emily Bear, who began performing at Ravinia at age 5, played after dinner and received a standing ovation. Photo: Garbo Productionspart from this article: .... Eight-year-old piano prodigy Emily Bear, who's also been treated at Children's Memorial, performed after dinner. When she was done, one guest commented "I've attended this ball for years, and that was the first time I've seen this room grow completely quiet."(Another great evening but ticket prize was 800$. It is out of my budget. Petee PS: There are probably more of photos unfortunately I don't have password to that gallery.

WoW..thanks Peter for the update, I like the quotation "I've attended this ball for years, and that was the first time I've seen this room grow completely quiet." it was the anticipation of hearing Emily play, I don't know how many people in that room had heard Emily play before but they all experienced a real treat, it didn't matter what she played, even though I wouldn't mind knowing, she played with the grace and talent of someone well beyond her years and she came away with a lot more fans.

Maybe not all of them were in room when Emily played but still it had to be unforgettable evening. Petee

Thanks a lot Peter for those beautiful photos. I checked my Facebook minutes ago after a busy week which did not allow me to do a lot there or here and found the short report about that event. Must have been a real treat :-)
I hope my score books will soon arrive :-)
