When this video first appeared on this site not much was said about it at the time but it seems Emily's career has come full circle with what is currently going on with Emily and Alana. MLE has done a lot of teasing the past few days with her daily postings while in Nashville. A little more detail would be greatly appreciated (hopefully soon) but my guess is that it has something to do with the musical and Netflix and it is one of those "nuggets" that Emily and Abigail have been dying to tell her fans but are contractually unable. We wait with baited breathes. No, I don‘t think. ... Emily commented that she met the Bridgerton composer just by coincidence - deleted the comment 5 minutes later... I think Nashville was just Disney stuff - Abigail would have been there if... and she had one or two other songwriting sessions with Nashville musicians I think in the near future she and Abigail will travel to London - as Abigail got a new passport according to an insta post during her holidays in Florida - no office date available in California. to You are a lot more attuned to what Emily may or may not be doing than I am Till. I never would have come up with a Disney connection from what I was seeing. Based on the videos and posts she has provided the past few days and the reference to "Oceans Away" in one of them led me to my summation. On the subject of an ocean away the fact that you are German, live in Germany and whose primary language is German you are the heart beat of this site, a site that could become stagnant if not for your contributions, a site that highlights a young American musical genius. I can't thank you often enough.

I intended to post a detailed outline of all that was discussed between Emily and host Bridgitt Robinson accompanied by a screen shot of each performance but I quickly discovered that I do not possess the necessary brain function to pull that off. So thanks to Till (eulenspiegel2) who graciously posted the screen shots and if you read the E-mail I sent him that he also posted here you'll have a general idea of how the interview process went. One cannot totally grasp the scope of what Emily has accomplished in 19 years of life but I was privileged to hear some of it during this one hour interview. Each photo is a representation of a segment or stage of her career with a performance. I will highlight some things that I didn't mention in the e-mail to Till. The two songs from her latest EP that were presented here was "Love Song" and "Dancing". The covers she played "Emily" and "Falling In Love" were her own arrangements. Her "Falling in Love arrangement was infused with a bit of the Grieg Piano Concerto. For Dancing they spent a little time talking about her all her charitable contributions from CD's and songbooks and performances. Quincey Jones of course was discussed in length and how his mentorship has impacted her career. There was a lot not mentioned that I was somewhat disappointed with but they only had one hour. Two hours would be better suited for exhibiting all that she has done. Thanks again Till for your help here and if anyone has any questions about this event feel free to ask.

I will begin by saying that this interview/performance lasted about 65 minutes. Most would consider me crazy spending $100 to watch only one segment of the series presented by Bravo Niagra but when you have been a fan of Emily for as long as I have and the missed opportunities that I have had to watch her live the cost was small considering how enjoyable this was and the things I learned about Emily during her growth as an artist that I didn't know before. So I am putting together a more detailed outline of the topics that were discussed as well as what songs were performed (There were a couple that had the audio only). All the performance's were pre-recorded. I think Emily had to put all this together herself and presented to someone with Bravo Niagra for approval. I believe the interviewer had do her research based on Emily's proposal to garner the proper questions to ask. The only live performance was at the finale when Emily played a condensed version of of her "Bumble Bear Boogie". Stay tuned. Attachments:

in 4 hours just a reminder - I won‘t watch it if anyone watches it - perhaps a short report I took the leap and purchased the membership to Bravo Niagra so I can watch Emily's performance and interview. I am not technically proficient enough to know how to record this event for a later posting to this site, if its even possible with copyright restrictions and what ever other limitations there may be. If anyone is interested I would be happy to post my observations of the event later on this evening or tomorrow.

That $100 is for ALL six Virtual concerts NOT JUST Emily's. I am wondering if she didn't already have her performance. I was thinking about the two posts she made recently showing a piano on a beach somewhere, one was the short clip of her wonderful noodling (love those) with what looked like a full band set up. She made a comment in one of them that it was her office one weekend. If she did have a performance already why be so secretive about it unless it was a part of this concert series. Just me throwing my thoughts out there, hoping it might strike a chord somewhere.

„Bridgerton the Musical: does the fate of the stage lie in the hands of TikTok?“ Niamh Curran examines the unlikely viral success of “TikTok musical” Bridgerton the Musical – inspired by the smash hit Netflix show – and questions how the social media platform may leave a lasting legacy in theatre. www.varsity.co.uk/theatre/21086Thanks for this Till. It has been unusually quiet the past week with Emily and Abigail. They were supposed to have had a meeting earlier in the week regarding their work on Bridgerton the musical. I sensed that the meeting didn't go well after a comment Emily made on a post about a "shitty day". I hope I am wrong about that.

The way I interpreted that was that they were saying 3PM pacific time. 6 pm for me here in Florida. I also think that it was an estimate. they aren't absolutely sure. What "midds" actually stands for I couldn't tell you. Hope that helps Till.

After all the success Emily has had in the ten years or so that I have been following her career she has never gotten the broad world wide attention that one would expect from someone who calls Quincey Jones a friend and mentor, who has received numerous awards and performed in a lot of the most prestigious venues stateside as well as overseas. It will be this musical that she and Abigale are working on that is going to get her the recognition she rightly deserves. God bless this young lady and thank you Variety for a wonderful article.

If I recall there was one video where you could here her mom offering a small bit of advice. She wasn't visible in the video but you could hear her briefly.

Thanks for this Till. As I have said on many occasions, without your posts this site would have no activity at all. I don't share your observation about US audiences however, it has everything to do with your fan base and the managements restrictions when it comes to copyright and things like that. Take a look at Grace Vanderwaal, the amount of exposure she gets can be attributed to support of family, a management agency who knows what they are doing and probably encourages all her millions of followers to post any and everything to the social media web sites. Emily has had plenty of public appearances over the years, The Ellen Show, Hollywood Bowl, her tour with the Night of The Proms just to name a few but the exposure on social media was some what limited. It has always been a wish of mine to see her in person, take videos if allowed and post them here and elsewhere but living so far away from any of her events has made that impossible. I have one observation about this interview, there was no mention of her status with Berklee. Is she going to use her scholarship there or is she too established in LA to just drop everything there to go to college? Just curious.

This is a side of Emily that most of us have never seen before. I absolutely love it, hope she does a lot more of these videos.

Does that mean you will see Emily playing already on 11/22/2017? I hope for a Report in Detail, if you don't mind...By the way, I got my ticket without any Problems. I am profoundly happy and jealous for the two of you, wolfgang and eulenspiegel, and for any other Emily fans living in Europe. All those opportunities to watch Emily play live is just amazing and I am hoping, with my fingers and legs crossed, that someone out there will be able to record some or all of at least one of her performances. She is performing with some seriously good musicians and singers, so it's a great opportunity to showcase her talent to a wider brand of audience who's musical tastes and interests vary along all genres. And perhaps increase her fan base with some who may have never heard her play. Speaking for myself, I am extremely grateful for all the contributions the two of you make on this forum. I visit this forum every day (countless times a day, being retired I have nothing else to do) hoping to find any new tidbit about Emily, perhaps one of those visits she'll announce a concert down in my part of the country. Keep up the good work and enjoy yourself during those concerts.
