O.k. I promised to post a few more photos here. And I'll give a little bit report of the weekend: Peter and me had planned to attend two shows. We had already met at the hotel on Friday evening. The hotel internet was too expensive, so Saturday morning was busy with finding some Internet caffee and some breakfast. We found both, but soon had to leave for the hall. The first show started at 2pm, and for that one we had seats in the most upper row, so we did not expect a great view.
Well, we were a bit close to stage, having only a side way view, but that was great place to have a good sight at Emily .
The show started and we were not prepared or ready when all of a sudden Emily was there, her fingers flying over the piano while she was playing the "Bumble Boogie". But well, as quick as she was there she was gone again.
But we had not to wait for long, and Emily was there again, now playing a bit Jazz, "Summertime", and "Mess Around", to a beautiful scater performance, and Mess Around together with a Jazz band.
Now she got introduced with photos and a few little stories, before she continued with playing he first own composition of the evening, "Diversity", to a wonderful scating performance by Aljona Savchenko & Robin Szolkowy.
The two photos are of Summertime and Mess Around, but you can find videos of the first and all other her appearances on youtube already.
Well, that wasn't all, only my time is a bit limited and I have to come back to it later
just a short word: as Peter already wrote it was an unforgetable weekend. The show was fantastic, and Emily brillated not only in one or two performances, she played a main part in the whole show, playing several of her own as well as some more pieces, accompanying the scater performances. It seems while playing she had at least the same fun watching the skaters as we all had. I have no clue how she manages to play and watch the skaters, and seems even adopt her play to the skaters. It was obvious how much Emily enjoyed everything herself, and it seems she gets never tired of playing the piano.
As you can see from the photo Don posted, Peter and me met Emily and Andrea at the signing table. I want to thank both as well as Laureen and Brian for receiving us so kindly, it was a joy to finally meet them. Don, yes it could be three or four years. Yet in the beginning I did not at all expect to meet Emily at all soon, as she lives a few miles away
I have more photos, yet need to select, as I used the motor a lot. I will post more as soon as possible.
I am currently on my way back home, after a fantastic weekend with "Art on Ice". I have not much time now, so I thought I'll give you a bit first glance with four photos I selected:
I know this is a bit off topic. However, I believe love will never be off topic anywhere. I saw one article where little children defined love. I like for example this statement:
“When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.” – Billy, age 4
That was a great resource you found Peter, I really enjoyed these definitions, and some like that one you quoted seem to show quite a deep understanding, while others are simply soooo funny
from today morning I am also owner of Emily's card she sent me. Yipeeee. Emily, thank you so much. As it is written on card serie posted here yesterday
"A year full of magical memories ..."
I already have one from today. And I hope in Zurich others join this one.
However, I was watching those photos on the card and thinking and joking. First one is from Carnegie Hall, second one from UNICEF Gala, third one from meeting another important person all of them very important and fourth one Emily in pajamas (with Winston). Those pajamas have to be really extraordinary. ;D However, I love that photo.

Hi Peter and all,
Now I got a Christmas card as well. That was a great nice surprise. I really felt honored and touched. It's a beautiful card with some nice pictures of Emily at Carnegie and so on. Thank you so much, Emily & Andrea. Yes, it definitely was a year full of magical memories around a magical little girl And I really loved your "Bear hugs"
By now it's pretty sure I will listen to Emily live in Zurich, and actually I count the minutes already since the tickets arrived .
well, I don't know that piano, but from what I heard and read it is a good one. I agree to Andrea, if you like the piano, then it is o.k. I read some comments on the internet and would say this is "complaining on a high level".
If you like the sound and feeling of the piano then everything is o.k. Only treat it well, constant temperature, not too dry or too wet room, let it get tuned regularily, then I am sure it will please you for many years.
I hope you have a wonderful day, and I am sure at least you had a great early birthday present, meeting Emily and the Bears again. Have a great birthday and an even better coming year
a warm welcome from me as well. I am sure that in future there will be plenty opportunity to watch Emily life. Of course she may not go everywhere, so it may mean one needs to travel some way.
I myself, although in the past she was relatively close to me, never managed to meet her, in most cases due to my working commitments. But well, one never gives up hope, I am sure some day we all will be able to meet her
Don't worry, Triny, I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities to meet Emily. She seems to love her music so much that I have no doubts that she will make her way, and we will have lots of opportunitiels to enjoy her wonderful music live.
as it is official I started new thread for this "set of events". So, Emily is going to perform in Switzerland namely in Zrich and Lausanne on February 2-8 in show with name "Art on Ice". The website of this event is:
There are 8 same shows in all. It means that Emily will perform in each show that means 8 times. Woooow. Really busy week.
Emily was booked for this show by John Barker. Now I understand his comment on facebook.
There are beautiful photos there I never saw so far. I have to post them here.

Who goes?

Oh wow, what a busy little girl. And well, that timing looks great for me. There actually is a chance that I might not miss her this time. I missed so many great events this year, that I really am looking forward to a new chance to see Emily (and Hollie, whom I sadly missed just this week) very soon (again).
Peter, I will do my best to get that one chance this time, and would be great to meet you there, again
eulenspiegel2: most things have some delay because of the custom service...and very likely Emily and Abigail did not pay for speed shifting/transport...

Ursula: Unfortunately I can't read the German forum. Sigh. Too bad they haven't said anything. You'd think their lawyers would come out with a statement at the least. And they keep posting on social media like everything is normal.

Ursula: Also why is that other forum in German. Why not English?

eulenspiegel2: it is a German forum...about German pop singer... you may be surprised...but the USA is not the center of the world - it is like US people coming to Europe wondering why not signs in English ..

ursus: Ursula, Google Translate works very well if you translate from German into English and you just need to understand the meaning of what was written. It does still require an understanding of German if you want to use it to post in that language.

ursus: IIRC B&B's lawyers have until 9/23 to respond to the lawsuit. It would not make sense for them to make a public statement before that. B&B themselves have undoubtedly been instructed not to say anything either. That makes sense to me.

mastersgttom: For the benefit of all the members and the guests who visit this site be advised that there is a You Tube video out there of Barlow and Bear doing a live stream. The video was posted by Epic Wonderland. Where she got it I have no clue.
Mar 8, 2024 12:53:33 GMT -6
mastersgttom: The video of the live stream cannot be found on any of their social media platforms. At least from any of my feeble attempts. The video is a bit hard to watch because the audio is totally out of sync with the video.

mastersgttom: What I got out of the video was that it had nothing to do with Moana. They were very mum about their work on that movie. Bling Ring came up in some of the comments. A bit odd that they have a live stream out there, writing music, and not making it public.

mastersgttom: Wow! I just noticed that it has been a little over a year since anyone has posted anything in this Shoutbox. Eluenspiegel was the last one. I messaged him this discovery a week ago but haven't heard back. He used to be the most active member here.
