Sorry about the image quality but the smile is worth a thousand words.
Don,
thank you so much for those two photos. The first one is the photo which anybody on this forum (with me at the head) can envy you. And second one attached in this post has something for me I can not describe. I completely agree with you what you wrote. However, Emily on this photo reminds me of somebody and I can not remember who. Ahhh I've just remembered but don't disclose. It is beautiful photo, thanks so much you posted it.

"Joie" was to be on the program but the library asked Emily to shorten the program.
Wanting to get a good seat I arrived at the library early about noon, not like there's nothing to do at a library since I love to read. Around a quarter to two I wandered over to the auditorium lobby and had seat there, I was soon joined by a couple of young ladies I'd say in the mid 60's who attend all the concerts at the library, neither had heard of Emily Bear but were excited to hear this young lady play. So over the next 15 minutes I gave them a brief introduction to Emily Bear and by this time they were convinced I was part of Emily's family.
A short time latter a young couple showed up with 2 young children Neomi 6 who plays the piano and Ben 5 mo who plays with his fingers...they had driven from Michigan to watch Emily play...so I'm not the only crazy one around.
They had given out tickets and I had a very low number ticket and the seating was done by number...so I got front row left side with little Neomi on my right and the two ladies from Skokie on my left
Ryan Murphy violin accompanied by Milana on piano played first. Ryan is a senior in High School and had been playing the violin since the age of nine. He played very well, he has that passion for the music, he was a joy to watch.
But now it was time for Emily, later I found out Emily was suffering a little bit of jet lag from her trip to China, but she sure didn't show it when she walked out on the stage. She began with two classical pieces which are new to Emily and then went on to play two classics from her first CD both played very well. If Emily was suffering from lack of sleep it sure didn't show. She went on to play "Out of Control" from her 3rd CD and the next four were from her lastest CD "Always True".
Then she began playing "Bumble Boogie" the song her grandmother had taught her and she played a much shorten version on her latest trip to Ellen. This time she played the entire song and I was utterly speechless, I have never seen Emily move her hands and fingers so quickly and with the precision of a great magician, she truly made the keys sing.
Then it was over and who knows when the next time I will be able to watch this little lady make the keyboard come to life.
This was the first time Emily had no signing after her performance, but she and her mother Andrea along with both of her grandmothers and a cousin stayed in the lobby for quite a while, talking to fans and generaly have a nice afternoon. Emily was given a book from a fan who had driven from southern Texas to attend the performance. The book was that of prize winning photographs in which he had one, and it was on the cover.
I did have a chance to talk to Andrea and Emily, I found out it was a 14 hour flight to China, no movies but they did have television, that the Chinese were warm and friendly and that Emily played flawless there, also that the concerts were professionally recored but who know if we'll ever get to see them. Someone had asked me one time what Emily's favorite color was so I asked her, after discussing it with her cousin, Emily came to the conclusion that she had no favorite color. One other thing...Emily is working on a new CD I do believe they have 7 songs picked for it already and Emily is composing so many songs at the moment that they are picking out the little jewels among them. I don't expect this to be out anytime soon but maybe we have something to look forward to by the end of the year.
new photos on Emily's facebook. Woow. As usually I've chosen my favorite. It is beautiful photo, but there are more of them there.
Petee
PS: I love to see Emily with flowers but would like to know if she likes them or what would she like to get after the concert - flowers or some sweets or chocolate or something else, if she could choose. I would like to know. ;D
I just wanted to recall this Don's photo. I already mentioned probably times out of number that I like Emily's smile. I like smiles in general. Who not of course. And there are more smiles on this photo. However Emily's one is (at least for me) way more beautiful. ;D
eulenspiegel2: most things have some delay because of the custom service...and very likely Emily and Abigail did not pay for speed shifting/transport...

Ursula: Unfortunately I can't read the German forum. Sigh. Too bad they haven't said anything. You'd think their lawyers would come out with a statement at the least. And they keep posting on social media like everything is normal.

Ursula: Also why is that other forum in German. Why not English?

eulenspiegel2: it is a German forum...about German pop singer... you may be surprised...but the USA is not the center of the world - it is like US people coming to Europe wondering why not signs in English ..

ursus: Ursula, Google Translate works very well if you translate from German into English and you just need to understand the meaning of what was written. It does still require an understanding of German if you want to use it to post in that language.

ursus: IIRC B&B's lawyers have until 9/23 to respond to the lawsuit. It would not make sense for them to make a public statement before that. B&B themselves have undoubtedly been instructed not to say anything either. That makes sense to me.

mastersgttom: For the benefit of all the members and the guests who visit this site be advised that there is a You Tube video out there of Barlow and Bear doing a live stream. The video was posted by Epic Wonderland. Where she got it I have no clue.

mastersgttom: The video of the live stream cannot be found on any of their social media platforms. At least from any of my feeble attempts. The video is a bit hard to watch because the audio is totally out of sync with the video.

mastersgttom: What I got out of the video was that it had nothing to do with Moana. They were very mum about their work on that movie. Bling Ring came up in some of the comments. A bit odd that they have a live stream out there, writing music, and not making it public.

mastersgttom: Wow! I just noticed that it has been a little over a year since anyone has posted anything in this Shoutbox. Eluenspiegel was the last one. I messaged him this discovery a week ago but haven't heard back. He used to be the most active member here.
