I just discovered new post on Emily's facebook. I've chosen this beautiful photo to post here:

PS:
Emily had concert in Switzerland. Emily has been in Europe. Emily performed "so close" and I didn't know it. I am awaiting such event so impatiently and I missed it. I didn't find any mention on Internet about that. Any. I completely failed. I should resign my forum post. Why nobody told me (us). Why?.......like Emily's latest song from album "Hope" Why? Sorry, I bother you with my personal feelings. Sorry.
I was surprised as you, but it does look like it was some company function (Audemars Piguet) and probably not open to the public, so even if you did know about it you probably would have been just as frustrated...but we did get some lovely pictures.
I took a look and also did not find any mention of the concert. It looks like this has been a private event. Of course I am a bit sad, cause I think I would have taken the trouble of a 6 hour drive without much hesitation to get to Geneve, which btw is an extremely beautiful area.
2011-01-18 - The Audemars Piguet soirée is all about generosity!
Tuesday January 18th 2011 Geneva (Switzerland) It was at the heart of the Espace Hippomène, the Bauhaus-style former Tavaro factory converted into a cultural and events centre, that Audemars Piguet held its not-to-be-missed AP Night! Within this former industrial building, the numerous guests were immersed in the distinctive atmosphere created for the occasion. The raw concrete and steel materials and the pared-down contemporary design characteristic of the premises gave way to the serene atmosphere of the Vallée de Joux. The Cube centre-piece was clothed in the colours of the small village of Le Brassus which is the brands historical home. As explained by Octavio, the Groups Chief Artistic Officer, we wanted to bring to Geneva something of our beautiful region with its omnipresent natural surroundings imbued with peace and tranquillity: the green of our pastures, the woods of the large Risoux forest, and of course white, the symbol of our snowy winters.
Comfortable seated at attractive oval tables featuring a pure and refined decorative style, guests were welcomed with a speech by Mrs Jasmine Audemars, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Audemars Piguet. CEO Philippe Merk was in turn eager to extend warm thanks to the brands commercial partners for the excellent results achieved in 2010, for their commitment and for their loyalty. He also saluted the attending ambassadors and friends of the AP family, including Dona Bertarelli (Ladycat), Michael Schumacher, Jarno Trulli, Sébastien Buemi, Julien Clément, Richard Mille and Claude Nobs (Montreux Sounds).
After the traditional introductions, it was time for entertainment! Flown in specially from the United States, nine year-old American prodigy Emily Baer, an extraordinarily talented pianist and composer since the age of three, gave a concert worthy of the greatest artistes and featuring a blend of classical music and jazz improvisation. The performance of this authentic virtuoso was greeted with thunderous applause.
Upon returning to face the expectant audience, Philippe Merk called the name of a man who needs no introduction thanks to his staggering reputation and track record. Michael Schumacher, who has recently become a brand icon, came up on stage with his characteristic elegance to join the head of the Manufacture. The two men chatted for a while, with Michael Schumacher sharing a few stories, including his instant attraction to the Royal Oak Offshore Arnolds All-Stars Chronograph which brings us to the longstanding collaboration between Audemars Piguet and his After-School All-Stars foundation. Over a decade of fruitful cooperation and an exceptional friendship that have given rise to six exceptional timepieces and helped to raise 10 million dollars. And the list does not end there, since 2011 marks a new high point in this partnership with the release of a seventh timepiece that is probably the last creation to be jointly signed by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Audemars Piguet. The Royal Oak Offshore Arnold Schwarzenegger The Legacy Chronograph, presented at the SIHH 2011 (Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie), will serve to generate additional funds to help schoolchildren from underprivileged neighbourhoods.
To set the crowning touch to this exceptional collaboration, the Manufacture Audemars Piguet was eager to commit itself even more fully to the After-School All-Stars foundation. Jasmine Audemars and Philippe Merk accordingly handed over a one million-dollar cheque to the five pupils from Atlanta who benefit from the support of the association.
After these expressions of hope and friendship, music was once again back in the spotlight. To round off the 2011 AP Night on a high note, the legendary Kool and The Gang, a band that has earned numerous accolades throughout its career including two Grammy Awards and seven American Music Awards, took over the stage to offer a fantastic funky concert! The group remained true to its roots by reprising some of its greatest hits including Jungle Boogie, Get Down on it, Celebration and Fresh! The highly charged atmosphere kept guests dancing into the early hours of the morning!
but this time with bigger photos, two of them I post here the rest you can find on the link. I saw Emily sitting at the piano for many times but each new photo is for me like a gem and Emily has again magic dress.
However, one member of Connie Talbot's forum - millie - translated it into English and I hope she will not angry with me when I publish it here. There are some information which could be interesting and new for us.
Emily Bear: And if we had found the heir of Wolfgang Amadeus?
They say she's able to draw the viewers to tears just by letting her fingers to run over the keys of a piano. Last Tuesaday, at the Espace Hippomènes, Emily Bear certainly left Audemars Piguet's guests speechless, before the get up at the same moment to give her a magnificient standing ovation. With this strange feeling of having crossed paths with an extreterrestrial.
5 albums already!
The U.S. girl is a phenomenon. A kind of genius from Chicago. Would Mozart have reincarnated in the body of this little girl? Maybe. Emily Bear is only 9. But she just gave her first concert at Carnegie Hall in front of an orchestra of a hundred musicians. In 2008, she was even invited to play at the White House for George W. Bush and his 400 guests. And she's a regular at Ellen DeGeneres Show. Six times in two years! And each time she gratifies the viewers with a new homemade composition...
Cause Emily Bear doesn't just play. She also composes. Last week in Geneva, the little U.S. girl has interpreted a melody "she ended during the night": To Your Heart. "One day, after the funeral of a member of her family, Emily moved to the piano and spontaneously created a song in tribute to the deceased", said François-Henry Bennahmias, director of Audemars Piguet in the U.S.. This emotional song, "Final Journey", is also found on the... fifth album of the young lady.
The piano at three years old.
This beautiful story begins in 2005 in the family home. Her parents went on a trip. Leaving the grandmother, a piano teacher, to look after the children. "One day, I heard someone playing the piano, I thought it was one of the two older children...". Surprise! Installed at the keyboard, Emily strums a little tune with three fingers. She is just three. Two years later, she took her first lessons with Emilio del Rosario of the Music Institute of Chicago, became familiar with classical piano with Mary Sauer, principal pianist of theSymphony Orchestra of the city.
"What is striking for Emily, she says, is that she leaves really express her emotions. That may be why she is equally at home with jazz!" The girl does not say otherwise. As the channel WGN asked where does this gift, Emily Bear replied simply: "From my heart". The little girl has no doubts about her future: she wants to become a composer. She is already, as each album has its share of original music. A Espace Hippomène, Francois-Henry Bennahmias even promised her an Oscar for years to come. The question is how Emily Bear will manage this curiosity about her talent ... At her parents take care not to make a zoo animal!

PS: Each Emily's song has some story and only Emily knows them all. We get know only a few of them and this article mentions one of them related to song "Final journey". It is beautiful song and now I am just listening to that song and when I know its background I can feel this song more deeply and ohh I have to stop I have tears in my eyes. So back. Just thinking who was that member of her family who departed Emily and her family. Some of us probably anticipate who was that.
sorry, I was bothering you with my simple photo game but I wanted to make some activity here because there are no news about Emily currently. I found two videos from Emily's performance in Switzerland. They are not in very high quality but they are and I am thankful for everything from this event. This event was filmed professionally with many cameras but I am afraid that we see that some time. So the first one screenshot:
and here you can find two links on facebook videos:
PETEE! You are now my favoritest board member! (Kidding; all of you are my favorites.) "Final Journey" LIVE!!!!!!!! TOTALLY COOL. Yay! Now I just need to wait for the songbook...this second video makes me even more impatient...

Hi trini,
and I was not your favo... so far? ;D (kidding too)
I was thinking what Emily plays during first seconds of second video. I think it is "Tutti-Frutti" what she played at Dancing with the stars.
Wooow, that is just beautifully amazing!!!! Even if that was composed by a 30 or 50 year old person it would be amazing, but to think it was composed by a NINE-year-old!
eulenspiegel2: most things have some delay because of the custom service...and very likely Emily and Abigail did not pay for speed shifting/transport...

Ursula: Unfortunately I can't read the German forum. Sigh. Too bad they haven't said anything. You'd think their lawyers would come out with a statement at the least. And they keep posting on social media like everything is normal.

Ursula: Also why is that other forum in German. Why not English?
Sept 7, 2022 23:15:55 GMT -6
eulenspiegel2: it is a German forum...about German pop singer... you may be surprised...but the USA is not the center of the world - it is like US people coming to Europe wondering why not signs in English ..

ursus: Ursula, Google Translate works very well if you translate from German into English and you just need to understand the meaning of what was written. It does still require an understanding of German if you want to use it to post in that language.

ursus: IIRC B&B's lawyers have until 9/23 to respond to the lawsuit. It would not make sense for them to make a public statement before that. B&B themselves have undoubtedly been instructed not to say anything either. That makes sense to me.

mastersgttom: For the benefit of all the members and the guests who visit this site be advised that there is a You Tube video out there of Barlow and Bear doing a live stream. The video was posted by Epic Wonderland. Where she got it I have no clue.
Mar 8, 2024 12:53:33 GMT -6
mastersgttom: The video of the live stream cannot be found on any of their social media platforms. At least from any of my feeble attempts. The video is a bit hard to watch because the audio is totally out of sync with the video.

mastersgttom: What I got out of the video was that it had nothing to do with Moana. They were very mum about their work on that movie. Bling Ring came up in some of the comments. A bit odd that they have a live stream out there, writing music, and not making it public.

mastersgttom: Wow! I just noticed that it has been a little over a year since anyone has posted anything in this Shoutbox. Eluenspiegel was the last one. I messaged him this discovery a week ago but haven't heard back. He used to be the most active member here.
