Movie composers do not get enough credit for what they do. They always write this amazing music and some people don't even notice it. This morning on the bus: Kid sitting next to me: What kind of music do you listen to? Me: Emily Bear. Him: Anything else? Me: Movie scores. Him: I don't know who they are. -sigh- I know Emily wants to become a movie score composer when she gets older. And I can't wait until she starts writing movie scores, because they will be absolutly amazing!

Sarah, I only hope that when she becomes famous movie composer she will not forget us - her faithful fans - dying to see her perform at her concert. However, I think that song like Diversity could be incredible background music for some movie. Petee

Just wondering, on Emily 3rd show on Ellen they said they were going to use Emily's song in a movie. Did they ever do that?
I agree that her songs would be awesome as a movie soundtrack. She really knows how to get her music to match something so beautiful.

I guess Emily has started her movie composing! ;D Horray! "Scoring a film - Friday night fun!!" I really want to hear it, because I am a huge fan of movie scores. Movie scores are probably half my iPod.

Oh I'd be glad to share a few movie scores with you! Some of my favorites (in no particular order): How To Train Your Dragon by John Powell Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium by Aaron Zigman & Alexandre Desplat Edward Scissorhands by Danny Elfman Up by Michael Giacchino Spirited Away by Joe Hisaishi Doctor Who by Murray Gold Also, I just counted: 262 songs of mine are movie scores. I love them.

One of my favorite movie score is "Das fliegende Klassenzimmer" by Nikki Reiser adopted on the book by the famous german children book writer Erich Kästner. This would be something for Emily. Its quite simple piano music and orchestra but very good.
And naturally I enjoyed Chariots of fire but after hearing it hundreds of times during the olympics. By the way the movie was produced by Dodi al Fayed the man who died with Diana, and what a shame I like the piano theme of " Ann on Green Gables". Oh I forgot the score of the original " Fame" movie. But the musical highlight also not a original score is " Claire de la lune" in the original french movie " Trois hommes et un bebe" -) I hope Emily uses less computer because handmade music is the best.

Here also something for petee, " Drei Nüsse für Aschenbrödel" Music by Karl Svoboda The Czech film industrie in these years was fantastic. This movie was a Co- Production between Cssr and East Germany. The castle scenes were filmed at Moritzburg near Dresden. If you know this movie you can only laugh about somw Hollywood movies. Every Christmas this movie is broadcasted in German television and I think most Germans know the tune by Karl Svoboda.

james horner and steve jablonsky are my fave composers :3 ladiesman217, what a pity your visit on this forum was so short. However, I have to admit that I never concentrated on people who composed music for my favorite movies. And now I realized how big James Hover is a composer. So many famous movies. I even didn't know that he composed music for Aliens my very favorite sci-fi movie from my student times. As for Steve Jablonsky. I like movie Transformers and it has very nice music. Petee
