As today is the 257th birthday of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
here some quite nasty canons by him. ( Trini don't get a shock-))))
First: Bona Nox - Tölzer Boys Choir
( uncensored version)
Original version[3] Bona nox! bist a rechta Ochs; bona notte, liebe Lotte; bonne nuit, pfui, pfui; good night, good night, heut müßma noch weit; gute Nacht, gute Nacht, scheiß ins Bett daß' kracht; gute Nacht, schlaf fei g'sund und reck' den Arsch zum Mund.
Good night! [Latin] You are quite an ox; Good night, [Italian] My dear Lotte; Good night, [French] Phooey, phooey; Good night, good night, [English] We still have far to go today; Good night, good night, Shit in your bed and make it burst; [[4]] Good night, sleep tight, And stick your ass to your mouth. [[5]]
( Vienna Boys Choir) This version is the "nice" version as many people know it.
The next two canons I won't say the title because there would be many peeps in US TV
(Kv 231)
(Kv 233)
The music of this second canon is as recently discovered not by Mozart but by Wenzel Tranka ( 1739-1791). Mozart loved this canon and gave it a nasty new text.
"Oh du eselhafter Martin"
(uncensored version -Kv 560b)
"Oh du eselhafter Peierl"
( Kv 560a) (censored version)
Original F major version, K. 560a. Nepomuk! Peierl! verzeihe mir![1]

You stupid nag, you're so idle You stupid Peierl, you're idle as a nag Oh dear friend, I beg you Oh kiss[8] my [ass|arse] real quick! Oh dear friend, forgive me, I'm going to whip your [ass|arse]. Nepomuk! Peierl! Forgive me![9]
Revised G major version, K. 560b. Lipperl! [Jakob|Martin]! Lipperl! verzeihe mir![1]
O, you asinine [Jakob|Martin]! O, you [Jakobite|Martinine] ass! You're as idle as a nag with neither head nor legs! There's nothing to be done with you I'll see you hanged yet. You stupid Paul, shut your trap. I'll shit on your mouth,[10] I hope that wakes you up. Oh dear Lipperl, I ask you so sweetly Oh kiss my [ass|arse] real quick! Oh dear friend, forgive me, I'm going to whip your ass. Lipperl! [Jakob|Martin]! Lipperl! Forgive me!

As we enjoy the news about Emily some music which is played in my region these days. I live in a catholic area and until Tuesday everywhere is carnival. 40 miles from here is Cologne the world stronghold of carnival with Rio and one of the the most tolerant cities in the world! On Monday there will be milions of people in the streets of Cologne and the other cities who are dressed up and watch the street marches.
The cologne carnival is also very famous for his musical acts.
There are two bands who are more than 40 years on stage and sing in the local slang.
First the Black Föss ( Black Feet)
En unserm Veedel ( In our ' hood)
in a concert in front of the Cologne Cathedral for their 40th birthday as a band
Du bess die Stadt ( You are the city) - same concert
----------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------- I love this tune they used for their song It is a popular bagpipe tune
"Highland Cathedral" by german!!! (1982) composers Ulrich Roever and Michael Korb
Participants: South Australia Police Band German Army Band (HMK 14) Owl Town Pipe & Drum Band (Germany) Koninklijke Militaire Kapel "J.W. Friso" (NL) Upper Austria Army Band Portugese Navy Band Royal Swedish Army Drum Corps The Vanda Miss Joaquim Pipe Band Singapur The South African Navy Band US Army Europe Band Belarus Army Band
and 10yo drummer boy Kes Kunze
Hosepipe and Trini this has to be somesthing for you - I suppose - especially this incredible and epic performance-)))) Or Sarah your school band shouldplay this-)))))

Some modern "bavarian" music-))) Bavarian punk - ska -rock with brass instruments
LaBrassbanda -Nackert ( Bavarian for nude)
They wanted to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest, the contest ABBA won in the 70s with "Waterloo"
But its not mainstream enough. Germany will send this year boring mainstream pop who sounds like last year winner, although LaBrassbanda was on first place by radio voters and second place by tv voters. But there was als a jury of experts - hahaha - who voted them down ( 4of5 are at the same label as the winner-(((((( ), because they wanted mainstream. Perhaps they were anxious because labrassbanda played live and all others half- playback
But this is modern germany!!!!!!! Music with traditions without cliche but they coquet with the cliche. Normally they wear bavarian leather trousers-)))) Excelllent self made music. They know each other since university because they all studied classic and jazz music!!!!!!!
Perhaps we hear in a few years some modern punk - ska - country - jazz- rock with Emily at the piano!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way I understand almost nothing because of the bavarian dialect in the song.-))) But if they had won to represent germany they would have driven with a tractor (10m/h) from Chiemsee/Bavaria to the contest in Malmö/Sweden -))
Ahhhhh, here is the contest gig with leather trousers-)))) And you can also see the tractor-))))
Ohhh, that would be a fantastic collobaration on a festival like Montreux, Emily and these guys, in the spirit of Claude Nobs, who wanted the collobaration of musicians of different genres and I think Emily would get some brass lessons-))))) A kind of piano - brass bumble boogie. The hall would explode.

As it seems that many people in the US speak about Christoph Waltz in the moment.
In 1996 he played the tragic character of Roy Black, the german hero of the very shallow german pop genre.
Nur geträumt( Just dreamed) Waltz only acts, its Roy Black's voice.
Roy Black really liked music from the Beatles and the Stones and wanted to sing this kind of music. But tragically he had a mega mega mega hit with " Ganz in weiß" ( Full in white) in which he sings about a bride in her white dress in front of him with a bouquet of flowers.
14 weeks number one, 2.5 million sold copies ( 60 Million people West Germany)
Although he wanted to be a rock musician his producer forced him to sing this song. After the first day this song was so successfull that literally thousands of fans visited an autograph session. Later he realized nobody would buy rock music by Roy Black.
This song sold to this time in Germany more copies than the Beatles.
He could not escape this genre. Some say that he hated his fans and could not understand how someone could like this music.
In 1971 he another megahit wit the 10 year old norwegian Anita Egerland who was later married to Mike Oldfield. ( See " Picture in the Dark") I think both songs literally everbody knows in Germany.
Schön ist es auf der Welt zu sein ( Its nice to be on this world)
33 weeks number 2 in Germany
After this big success his carrer stopped. The taste in germany changed e.g. Nena the early 80s. In the late 80s he had a kind of comeback and got several awards. So one of the awards is the scene with Christoph Waltz.
Anita Hegerland made in 2011 with a Heavy Metal Band a version of their song because of the 40th birthday of this song and in memory of Roy Black who wanted to be a rocker. I could not find it on youtube.
I wrote so much because I hope that Emily always plays the kind of music she wants. David Garrett tries to overcome this kind of " vicious circle" in the moment. Until his "escape" to Julliard he had to do and say what his producers, label and parents told him. His parents were shocked and did not support him. So he had to earn money in New York to pay Julliard. He realized that he had to find his love for music again after being drilled for 15 years by his father. But after Julliard no label was interested in a classic David Garret, the prodigy was forgotten. So the cross over music ( his new producer realized that he could attract the women) was the trie to start a new carreer and to show it to his father. But now he has the problem that the classical etablishment does not like his current music and many don't take him serious although he works hard and is a perfectionist. But he cannot show this in his current music-(((((

As Emilys music was pegged in the recent years in the category Easy Listening here are two melodies of the german king of Easy Listening/ Happy Music
James Last
The first melody wasn't written for a movie but many years later Quentiin Tarantino used it for his movie Kill Bill.
The lonely shepherd ( Royal Albert Hall 1978)
I read a quote that it was easier in the 70s to get a ticket for the world soccer final or even the Queens garden party than to get a ticket for James Last in the Royal Albert Hall-)))
The second melody was written for the movie
Morning's at seven ( based on a book Eric Malpass)
East Berlin -1987

eulenspiegel2: most things have some delay because of the custom service...and very likely Emily and Abigail did not pay for speed shifting/transport...

Ursula: Unfortunately I can't read the German forum. Sigh. Too bad they haven't said anything. You'd think their lawyers would come out with a statement at the least. And they keep posting on social media like everything is normal.
Sept 7, 2022 23:14:39 GMT -6
Ursula: Also why is that other forum in German. Why not English?
Sept 7, 2022 23:15:55 GMT -6
eulenspiegel2: it is a German forum...about German pop singer... you may be surprised...but the USA is not the center of the world - it is like US people coming to Europe wondering why not signs in English ..
Sept 8, 2022 5:30:36 GMT -6
ursus: Ursula, Google Translate works very well if you translate from German into English and you just need to understand the meaning of what was written. It does still require an understanding of German if you want to use it to post in that language.
Sept 14, 2022 1:53:26 GMT -6
ursus: IIRC B&B's lawyers have until 9/23 to respond to the lawsuit. It would not make sense for them to make a public statement before that. B&B themselves have undoubtedly been instructed not to say anything either. That makes sense to me.

mastersgttom: For the benefit of all the members and the guests who visit this site be advised that there is a You Tube video out there of Barlow and Bear doing a live stream. The video was posted by Epic Wonderland. Where she got it I have no clue.
Mar 8, 2024 12:53:33 GMT -6
mastersgttom: The video of the live stream cannot be found on any of their social media platforms. At least from any of my feeble attempts. The video is a bit hard to watch because the audio is totally out of sync with the video.
Mar 8, 2024 12:58:25 GMT -6
mastersgttom: What I got out of the video was that it had nothing to do with Moana. They were very mum about their work on that movie. Bling Ring came up in some of the comments. A bit odd that they have a live stream out there, writing music, and not making it public.

mastersgttom: Wow! I just noticed that it has been a little over a year since anyone has posted anything in this Shoutbox. Eluenspiegel was the last one. I messaged him this discovery a week ago but haven't heard back. He used to be the most active member here.
