Does anybody know if this event will be broadcasted in the US or in short videos on CNN for example? Or in Japan because of Sadoko Ogata. There have to be some snips in the news especially on CNN Worldwide? Who has enough free time?

Eulenspiegel, I don't expect this event would be broadcasted but I believe that there will be some photos and maybe some short shots. If so we find them for sure. ;D Petee

Perhaps some of our members lives in New York and there is a local TV station or a short feature on CNN etc. Its a society event so I expect something will be shown in a video. The Birmasian Nobel Prize winner, Quincy Jones etc coukd be a good headline in a News show. Perhaps Quincy invited some other stars, the only question for me is if they show the music. But a photo with Aung San Suu Kyi and Emily would be fantastic!!!!

Hi, I think Emily is on photo (top left) with her mom in this event: Petee PS: As eulenspiegel already posted you can find it also here: www.acus.org/press/atlantic-council-honors-suu-kyi-kissinger-ogata-jones...Admired for his work with musical legends including Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones is also a passionate humanitarian who founded The Quincy Jones Foundation to raise awareness and resources for global children’s issues in areas of need. Fittingly, two young musical prodigies — Andreas Varady and Emily Bear — will perform in his honor. Andreas Varady is young (15) and very talented jazz musician. Quincy Jones took him to this year Montreux jazz festival. And I think he was born in Slovakia. ;D

Hi, It was more than month ago this event took place and I think it is time to come back there and look how interesting part of it looked. I already mentioned that one of performers was Andreas Varady (from Slovakia) and of course Emily (ready to play) with Andreas band Emily playing with faces I love hug with Quincy Jones and common photo OK. If you want to see motion pictures look here at 44:25 or look at this page www.acus.org/event/2012-global-citizen-awards-dinnerwhere you can find audio file (unfortunately without music part) and transcript as well. Enjoy it. Emily completely shines during Bumble Boogie And I love what she does with her leg during last song. Petee

Very big thanks, Trini-)))))
Do you know of there exists a videomof her playing with Andreas and the two other guys. I do not think it is his band. You could say its Emilys!!
I think both of them took part at Emilys new CD. But I am not sure. But it could be Emilys jazz trio-)))))

Thes two guys are Peter Slavov and Henry Cole and part of the Alfredo Rodriguez trio. On Emilys facebook is a photo of Emily and these two guys. Petee where did you get the photo of Aung San Suu Kyi and Emily. It would be nice if there would be a portrait photoshoot of them both. If you don't know her face you would think a nice woman. But I think its the most respected woman on earth in the moment not because of power but because of her life. There is a short list I would say: Gandhi, Mandela, Mother Theresa, Aung San Suu Kuyi and then ?? If there exists a portrait of Aung and Emily, Emily should show it sometime her grandchildren-)))))

Someone who does not like Emily (I won't say who it is publicly on the forum) has made multiple accounts and disliked that video about 15 times; if y'all would go and like it (even if it's just for Emily's sake), I'd appreciate it. If Emily ever does see that video, I don't want her to see all of the dislikes.
