Today the 2014 Grammy nominations are announced, hoping in some way Diversity will be recognized for the wonderful work it is.

I shouldn't be surprised that she wasn't nominated. Kids usually don't get the nod when it comes to these sort of things.

There are so many fantastic jazz musicians. What I find strange , we in Germany would say " es hat ein Geschmäckle", it has a little taste, that there were only two labels nominated in this category. All in all Grammy seems to be kind of politics. It looses more and more in relevance. In times when I read an article in which was described how Lasy Gagas recently flopping album was supported by billbooad etc - it didnt help, but pehaps she can get some sucess with the Tony Benett collabaration-) www.examiner.com/article/interscope-loses-25-million-promotional-bet-on-lady-gaga-artpop-bombPerhaps Emily should be glad that she was not already nominated in this circus-)

Terri Lynn Carington won the Grammy for Concord Records, according to her acceptance speech - the first woman ever in this category - instrumental jazz
