(I don't remember that I already saw this one, for me it is new even though it is very old, therefore I made some shots, sorry, I don't know whether I would recognize Emily on last one)
That was a great video you found, I had never seen it before, Emily says in it that she wants to play till she to old not to, she put the age at 89. When Emily is 89 I'll be 140, I quess if I want to follow her whole carear I'll have to live a long time.
Wow, thanks for the video! You really come up with the best finds Really, this video takes me back as this was the age when I first noticed Emily.
She came 2nd in the ice-skating competition where the picture was shown of her in the blue costume. You can't see, but the skirt is decorated with piano keys, and in her performance, Emily put her hands behind her ears (like you do when listening carefully to music) as part of her dance.
Her sister Lauren still competes in ice-skating, but Emily has now given up to concentrate on piano (and also she broke her finger once on the ice and had to stop practicing for weeks).
I really look forward to following Emily's progress through the years. Although it is sad when months go by without a major performance, I'm actually quite glad Emily gets a rest. She is so active and kind of like a 'fire' is inside her, she loves to perform and we love hearing her. But (just my opinion) these years are so precious for her, she should mostly be about learning and having fun with music, and less 'preparing for performances' (if you see what I mean). I hope it comes across the right way - I just don't want her to 'burn out'
Yes, I completely agree with you, Emily should be able to be a kid in first place. She loves piano so much that I think nobody ever needs to push her the tiniest bit. And she sais herself she is like a bouncing ball all the time except when she plays piano. Knowing this I very much appreciate she has long times off the stage. There will be lots and lots of performances later, but now primarily she should be allowed to simply be a kid. I have heard she is practicing piano many hours a day and usually doesn't want to stop, that is unbelievable, and such we can relax, she neither will lose her childhood nor will she burn out as long as she loves what she is doing so much as she does now.

Don,
so you should - - take healthy and regular meals - not be annoyed, just relax with Emily's music - drink daily 1 dl (someone says 2 dl) of red wine - not do sports too much - stop to smoke (or am I wrong?) -

I am happy when you like my posts (finds). I really don't understand how I could miss this video so far because I search the Internet for Emily's medias very often. Nobody is perfect. ;D

Alice, where did you find those information about Emily. I don't remember that I saw or read that somewhere on Internet. It is for me new and very interesting information about Emily. Have you seen Emily skating in person?

Love, Alice ;D
One half of myself would want to let Emily have a rest and be a child and enjoy childhood. However, other half still would like to know how she gets on, to see her new performances and new informations about them on Internet and so on. So I believe that Emily's parents know what she wants and needs and will do their best for her.
And what about me? I will wait and bother the Internet for any information about Emily.
abc Chicago have a little 3-minute show called 'Someone You Should Know', and in June 2007, they did a report on Emily. They mentioned her coming 2nd in an ice-skating competition in 'Jackson Hole', and even showed a bit of her performance. There is still a link to the story: abclocal.go.com/wls/story?section=resources/lifestyle_community/community&id=5366290 but the video of it was removed last year unfortunately. It's a shame because that was a nice little video of Emily.
I first came across Emily when I saw the YouTube video of her playing 'Sunday Morning' in her blue cardigan back in early 2007. I was looking at other videos of piano prodigies at the time. It was 2 years ago and all there was about Emily was this single video of her playing. In fact, back then the tags were written wrongly, her name was spelt 'Emily Baar' or something I saved the video to my favourites, and watched out for more news about Emily. So that's when I saw the abc report of her a few months later.
Please keep up with the Emoogle-ing (Googling Emily ) Because I always look forward to seeing your latest fantastic finds.

Alice
Alice,
I have to express you one great thanks that you mentioned this article and thereby brought it to my attention. You also mentioned video that was not already available there and that was big challenge for me to find it. So big challenge that I didn't work at my job today because I had to search it. After many hours of googling and fighting with iTunes I can finally say.............YES ................WOW. So I am very glad I can post it here (even by my "jubilee" 100th post).
At first some screenshots (sorry, I like posts with some Emily's photos):
and here is that video (you can also find it on iTunes or as Xvid here ):
I hope you will like it.
Petee
PS: I used yuotube (so I don't know how long it will be there because it is copyrighted video). Photobucket procuced me bigger audio-video synchronisation problem.
Petee you did it again another video I hadn't seen and this one is great also, thank for putting it up on you tube. Oh and petee congratulations on your 100th post.
Great find Peter I had never seen it either, hopefully by Friday nite I'll have a couple of new video's up also.
don
Don,
I wish you tomorrow unforgettable and incredible experience, we all can only envy you. Please GIVE my (and I hope also from other forum members) kind regards to Emily. And I am very looking forward your feelings.
eulenspiegel2: most things have some delay because of the custom service...and very likely Emily and Abigail did not pay for speed shifting/transport...

Ursula: Unfortunately I can't read the German forum. Sigh. Too bad they haven't said anything. You'd think their lawyers would come out with a statement at the least. And they keep posting on social media like everything is normal.

Ursula: Also why is that other forum in German. Why not English?

eulenspiegel2: it is a German forum...about German pop singer... you may be surprised...but the USA is not the center of the world - it is like US people coming to Europe wondering why not signs in English ..

ursus: Ursula, Google Translate works very well if you translate from German into English and you just need to understand the meaning of what was written. It does still require an understanding of German if you want to use it to post in that language.

ursus: IIRC B&B's lawyers have until 9/23 to respond to the lawsuit. It would not make sense for them to make a public statement before that. B&B themselves have undoubtedly been instructed not to say anything either. That makes sense to me.

mastersgttom: For the benefit of all the members and the guests who visit this site be advised that there is a You Tube video out there of Barlow and Bear doing a live stream. The video was posted by Epic Wonderland. Where she got it I have no clue.
Mar 8, 2024 12:53:33 GMT -6
mastersgttom: The video of the live stream cannot be found on any of their social media platforms. At least from any of my feeble attempts. The video is a bit hard to watch because the audio is totally out of sync with the video.

mastersgttom: What I got out of the video was that it had nothing to do with Moana. They were very mum about their work on that movie. Bling Ring came up in some of the comments. A bit odd that they have a live stream out there, writing music, and not making it public.

mastersgttom: Wow! I just noticed that it has been a little over a year since anyone has posted anything in this Shoutbox. Eluenspiegel was the last one. I messaged him this discovery a week ago but haven't heard back. He used to be the most active member here.
