Is anyone on the forum going to the Christmas Eve concert in California? I can't go; I myself am booked for that evening. But I hope there's some way to get a video!!! Now I'm hooked on Emily's orchestral pieces, and to hear them performed by a live orchestra...

Oh what on Christmas Eve, there we see the different traditions of christmas. Here in Germany Christmas Eve is the most important day for famillys, for parents and their kids. Potato salad with sausages-)) and most important the gifts. After 5pm there is no bus, the streets are empty etc. But to Emily: If somebody is there in New Mexico please make a video especially if she plays the Schumann.

Well, the only problems for me is that I'm busy that night AND I live on the other side of the country.

Well, the only problems for me is that I'm busy that night AND I live on the other side of the country. Hmm, what I can say, Trini. I don't live on the other side of the country, I live almost on the other side of Earth globe. And as eulenspiegel said that day is for most of people in Europe busy as we have Christmas Eve dinner and then presents. Emily could perform in my city and I would have really big problem to attend it. It sounds good: "Emily Bear, an 11-year-old composer and virtuoso pianist, joins the SFCA Orchestra in a concert featuring classical and jazz favorites and debuting some of Emily's own orchestral compositions. ..."but unreachable for me. What I really would like to know is some of the paragraphs in Emilys contract with Quincy. If she is allowed to post her new music on youtube for example without Quincys permission etc. Or if they are still working on her new CD. We all wait for new music!!!!
To Petee. I agree. There is no way that artist would perform in a concert on Christmas Eve. There are the churches but no regular concert. As I said the streets are empty and restaurants are closed. But as Aachen is at the frontier the Netherlands an Belgium and as there is no frontier( many of the students of the Rwth Aachen live in Vaals/ Netherland because flats are cheaper or in Belgium, some pupils from Belgium visit schools Aachen) because of the Schengen contract I could go the Netherlands where many restaurants are open. I grew up in a village at the Belgium frontier but there was no real frontier. We played with children across the border ( who also speak German, because of history, look for Eupen- Malmedy and thr contract of Versailles) and my school bus drove through the frontier turned round and let us at the frontier in. What a coincedence!! But I am not member of the Nobel Price Comitee-))))
