I've posted a radio recording of Emily's Champaign-Urbana Symphony guest artist appearance at archive.org . Look up her name, and you'll find it. Recording needs to be tweaked a bit, the sound level is too high, but will play if your media player's volume is turned down almost all the way. Some minor fade-outs during recording, that couldn't be helped. Relevant portions of recording can be found at 15 minutes in for the Mozart concerto, one hour twenty minutes in for her three encores.

Hi paxtonian,
thank you for your post. Now, all of us which couldn't attend that concert have got many photos and audio, so we can watch and listen to them and imagine it as we would be directly there. Great.

I'm happy to help out. I'd never heard of Emily until the broadcast. I record radio programs I regard as being culturally significant, I just happened to be attempting to get Prairie Performances that evening. I was trying to get a clean recording of WILL, so instead of using my MP3 unit's tuner, I hooked in another radio. I've done that before, with good results, but this time I misjudged the audio level in. Well, at least it turned out better than my others from that station. By any chance, would you know how I can obtain a copy of the WNIU broadcast with her RSO performance? WNIU is a ways off and I can only receive it here under exceptional circumstances.
