This is turning out to be a big deal for the young ladies. There are a lot of people involved in this production, between cast and crew and everyone involved in the organization and publicity. A name I recognize, Christopher Jahnke, has worked with Emily before when she was much younger. And nearly a sellout. There were only 71 seats available when I last checked. Sadly. there is no video recording allowed so of course I am second guessing my decision not to make the trip. My brother was going to go with me but when I checked on the availability of two meet and greet pass's they were sold out. I am hoping that if does end up selling out that PBS or someone else will step up and record the performance. At least an audio version, perhaps a CD that we can buy later. Got to hear that new song. Till if you are reading this have you considered making the trip to London?

(number from Wikipedia) About half of the 60 are either places for wheelchairs or wheelchair companion seats. I suspect the latter will be put on general sale soon. Royal Albert Hall holds 5,272. If that can sell out too, I can't believe that the various parties won't come to an agreement about making an actual musical.

The rest wheelchair access or companion seats. Edit: Emily must have only counted regular seats.

(google transl.) He has already tickets for the Royal Albert Hall...as you can see in his insta..,he is a active concert goer „After the first violin had tuned the orchestra, Emily was the first to come on stage and the audience was already there raving. The overture that followed dealt with some of the themes of the complete work and was awesome: Emily conducted and the approximately 70 heads of the National Symphony Orchestra dutifully danced to their tune. Since I was sitting on the outside, I could see Emily's facial expressions very well as she turned to the violins. The serious concentration, the uncompromising determination, the urging or slowing down of the players, the nimble turning of pages every few seconds in the overmeter-sized music book, speaking along to the beat, the entire physical expression left me with only incredulous amazement and unconditional admiration of the just 20-year-olds; what a badass! Then Abigail came and the mood in the room boiled. Abigail took over Daphne's part. If I Were A Man from Micaela Diamond, who pretty much imitated Abigail's original, vocally absolutely great and with a lot of wit that triggered hearty laughter. The hall roared again, that was probably the basic attitude of the evening; the hall roared at times even during the songs. Emily sang Penelope. It was fascinating to watch Emily syncronize with the Maestro at the same time as glimpses brought the Steinway grand to life while singing. The other highlights for me were: There was the new song Secrets, Secrets, a five-part work and simply brilliantly arranged. The vocal highlight was Kelli O'Hara with Balancing The Scales. The voice blew the world away and reduced it to this singularity. world class. The finale came after an hour and 20 minutes and was a medley of the complete works. Standing ovations and - one can guess - the hall went wild. There were a few teenagers in the audience, but it was an adult world throughout and judging by the applause, quite a few came to see the special guests. After the performance I was able to exchange a few words with Emily and Abigail. Abigail and I agreed that Emily's conducting performance was out of this world. Emily was once again extremely cordial to me; Abigail no less (yes, got a hug), we just met for the first time. So, and now I have to go buy some handkerchiefs.„

Part of the overture conducted by Emily with the audience still arriving. This was posted within the last couple of days.
