ursus it's getting worse and worse www.broadwayworld.com/bwwmusic/article/Emily-Bear-Releases-New-Single-IM-NOT-ALONE-20190502" is the first glimpse of music from her forthcoming EP, set for release later this year." So no mentioning of a release in coming weeks, spring.. the handling is just a joke and the VH1 featuring should be the big major network...worldwide...... "The song was also featured in a major real-life dramatic scene on Monday night's episode of "Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" on VH1." I don't know if one should should laugh or cry.. " and now in contrast a european blog otbzine.wordpress.com/2019/05/03/new-music-emily-bear-im-not-alone"It is, naturally, an incredibly accomplished track with the haunting, searing vocals of an artist 40 years older. Still featuring that trademark piano line, the Illinois native is not afraid to layer on the synth and effects and the fingerprints of accomplished producer Tony Gad, he of John Legend, Beyoncé and Fergie, are visible. There’s still work to be done, naturally, as she is literally 17, and you can’t help but feel there is a more distinctive style within her, but this is a hugely catchy effort and the EP is sure to be a cracker." ROCKFORD — Singer Emily Bear, a Rockford native, recently released her first single, “I’m Not Alone.” The single was co-produced by Toby Gad, who is known for co-writing John Legend’s “All of Me” and for co-writing and producing “Big Girls Don’t Cry” by Fergie and “If I Were a Boy” by Beyoncé. Kill Dave also co-produced the single. The song was co-written by Emily Bear, Nisha Asnani and Gad, with vocals and piano by Emily. The song is available to listen to on Spotify, iTunes and Apple Music.

Today is the ten year anniversary of the forum. I started it to celebrate Emily’s music. She has gotten better and better each year, where she will be in another 10 years is anyone’s guess

The video itself is kinda poor but the music sounds ok, do you think I should make it public or keep unlisted any thoughts?

I've seen Emily play at the Coronado Performing Arts Center four or five times, the first being Mozart and the last being Gershwin, the Coronado is a wonderful place to watch and hear Emily play. I would have loved to travel to Rockford this weekend to be part of this event but I'm having some health issues that makes it hard to travel. Unless Emily returns to Minnesota I've probably seen Emily play in person for the last time. I'm gonna miss talking with her and her family who have been wonderful to me for the last ten years .

@don Someone put your three Mozart videos into one Did he ask you? This is something I wanted to do for a long time and never really got around to it, back when I uploaded this, there was a 10 min limit on youtube video's, that is why I had to break it up into 3 sections. As far as asking, no he didn'r but I really don't care and it would make me happy if this got alot of hits, it would mean Emily's early work is still in demand.

Not a whole lot to say about the concert Saturday night, Emily has a way of filling the theater and she played to a full house, Emily was just brilliant her piano skills are brought out in the Grieg Piano Concerto. Every time I see Emily she seems to out do her last performance, she just keeps getting better and better all the time.
I did ask Emily when she thought the new CD would be out, she said she could only guess but during next winter was probably close, Quincy will be producing it and from what Andrea said Quincy is very very excited about it, now we just have to wait.
btw...I uploaded all my photos from the weekend to the gallery under SoundBites some are a little blurry
