I've got some more Christmas music to share. O Come, Emmanuel: I must have listened to this about a billion times already! This is probably one of my new favorite Christmas songs. And this version of the Carol of the Bells with William Joseph! The Nutcraker Suite from Brian Setzer's Orchestra: (I like the original nutcraker too. I saw it twice!) That's all for now. I'm sure I'll be sharing more Christmas music I find, because I'm a little bit obsessed with christmas music. ;D

Now that it's Christmas time, I can share some of my all time favorite Christmas music! I really really really REALLY like Christmas music. I listen to it all year round. Christmas Time is Here by Vince Guaraldi (This is also my piano teachers favorite song. He says he wants it played at his funeral ;D) O Holy Night: God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen: And this version too: Czech Drumming Carol: Ukrainian Bell Carol: Those last 3 were arranged by the same guy that did that crazy Pirates of the Carribean arrangement. It's completely crazy! I finally learned to play it, but it was extremely hard. Now I'm learning his Christmas arrangement of The First Noel. 4 in the right hand against 3 in the left hand. Jarrod Radnich is crazy! Has anyone else got favorite Christmas music to share while we wait for Emily's new CD?

In jazz band (yeah, I'm in 4 bands right now... it's crazy) we're playing "In A Sentimental Mood" by Duke Elligton and I think it's probably my new favorite piece that we're playing in jazz band! Our best sax player is taking the solo, and it sounds really nice. It makes me wish I had continued playing saxophone. So anyway, I thought I'd share some Duke Elligton songs. In A Sentimental Mood: Satin Doll on guitar : And on piano (by our favorite): And finally an improv over Take the A Train:

Hey eulenspiegel! Thanks for the video on the crash cymbals! I've always played them wrong. I hold them wrong... and hit them together wrong. And a bunch of times I've gotten them stuck together! I think I prefer the piano!

Thank you for the encouragement Trini and eulenspiegel! Today I had to play the bass part anyway. (My music director likes to throw me on any instrument he needs. He especially likes putting me on crash cymbals- my least favorite instrument ever.) Pit orchestra is really fun though! Just can't wait until we try and play The Cyclone. ;D

I got my music for The Wizard of Oz. I have no idea how I'm going to learn all this! It's 83 pages long! And only until January to learn it all! I've been on a total disney kick recently and thought I'd share some really great piano covers of my favorite Disney movie songs. They're all played by this amazing pianist Kyle Landry. Along with arranging these he writes his own music. Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid: Colors of the Wind from Pocahontas: Reflection from Mulan: Beauty and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast And A Whole New World From Aladdin: Anyone else have a favorite Disney song to share?

Just thought I'd share some Wizard of Oz music, because it's my schools musical this year and I'm in the pit orchestra! ;D Somewhere Over the Rainbow: And of course this one too. The Cyclone: (my band teacher told us this is the hardest song we'll have to play) And the Jitterbugs, because I don't think very many people know about this song (at least not in the U.S.):

I love that Emily is writing lyrics now. I wonder if any songs with singers will be on her new CD?

I am a big fan of The Beatles. ;D I like their song Norwegian Wood quite a lot. The original: Then we played it in my elementary school band. Which made me love it that much more. (I'm in the alto saxophone section.) I also like their songs Yesterday, Blackbird, Something, and Eleanor Rigby.
