What a surprise.. thank you.. What "touch" that boy had.. still has.. I'm impressed with Emily's "touch" as well.. Big difference between banging keys and "caressing" them.. on any instrument..
I would love a concert between Emily and Umi GArrett doing Emily's compositions.. and maybe some Chopin.. say a PBS Special..
and a Happy UNbirthday to you... i.e. MAd Hatter "Alice in Wonderland"..

Guns do not kill people, people kill people.. removing guns from the equation is utopian... then only outlaws will have guns and a few policemen whom can also be outlaws.. Disarming the public makes them targets.. vectors for crime.. or worse sheep..
Youth mostly is quite Utopian in various ways, with age some become more practical, but not everyone.. Some believe in Unicorns well past their youth.. Fences are also practical to set limits on your neighbor.. A gun is a fence in another way.. for the same reasons..

The 2nd amendment in the United States was included so that the "people" could revolt against the givernment.. for if only the givernment has guns revolt would be almost impossible.. Especially since the advent of "machine guns", copters, tanks, tear gas, and a plethora of other means of "CROWD CONTROL"...
The 2nd amendment was not instituted for hunting, target practice, and antique weapons appreciation.. but a check on possible future official tyrants..

David Garrett in a german talk show two days ago. Viva la Vida ( Coldplay) He explained that this song uses only four chords so he uses this loop machine in the beginning to create his own backround music. Just delicious... Thanks..

Thanks for the Garrett.. Its true some play around with singing dancing, art and playing instruments but some are truely "gifted"..
Even from youth.. like Fred Astaire at dancing.. he appeared to be strolling, skipping or walking to music not dancing.. John Wayne never appeared to be actually "acting"... The "gifted" appear to be doing whatever they do to music.. even with no music.. And the musically "gifted" seem to be just having fun, even when "intense"... like Mel Torme.. and Emily Bear (and others)...
Is "good" better when done by the "gifted"... probably not good is good.. But "good" is so much a perception.. What a wonderful world we live in to perceive such things.. What amazes me is that some have a low perception of what is good.. about many things and miss them completely or partially..
Wonder what I have missed currently.. when younger I missed a lot.. "Carpe Diem" seems to be the byword.. ***

What a show with David and Emily paired.. doing some of her compositions.. or his.. or both... That would be such fun.. for everyone involved.. Maybe a couple of Cellos and flute..
They could write a piece just for this event... together.... When I'm dreaming I like to think BIG...

Thanks.. so far I really like her Northern Lights but Spinata blew me away.. Transported me to Spain, short but sweet... Brilliant work.. Not that it isn't all brilliant but I do have my "tastes"... Emily converting her emotions into music is amazing..
Waiting for her future work is like waiting for a masterpiece.. ***

Hi;
I am a Emily Bear, Jackie Evancho and Anna Graceman fan... there are others I love to observe but these three are my main concern.. I am amazed at the talent of ones so young.. actually flabbergasted.. Each are totally different people expressing different nuances of talent.. Ran across this board felt to join.. I make short "movies"(videos) for enjoyment.. am retired, live in Alaska, and fish a lot.. during "the Season"... I feel blessed to see these kids and watch them grow and develop... Was too busy in my previous life to entertain these things.. I was a System Analyst for 40 or so years.. I missed many prodigies because of that.. not so now..
Don... in South-Central Alaska...
