Emily, I could go on and on about your incredible talent but so many have already said what I could say. I just love listening to you play, that's all. Like everyone else, I'm astonished at your youth but what really matters is the music and you put your time and energy and heart and soul into making beautiful music for people. You bring beauty to a world thirsty for beauty, Emily. I love all of your music but l find myself playing "Spinata" a lot (a YouTube video of that can be found here). "Spinata" is one of the most beautiful pieces I've ever heard. It aches to be expanded. I hope you will expand this piece. You could build an entire concert around variations on "Spinata". When I listen to "Spinata", for some strange reason I think of "Rhapsody in Blue" by George Gershwin and "Fanfare for the Common Man" by Aaron Copland. But all of your music belongs in lofty company. I look forward to hearing you in concert but, until then, I'll be content to listen to your beautiful CDs. God Bless You, Emily. Arnold

I already expressed my love to Emily in special thread on Connie board, so I don't go to repeat that. Here I only want to say that at this moment her "JOURNEY TO MY HEART" is most beautiful music for me and it still resounds in my head so I have a problem to fall asleep every night.
And like Arnold I also dream that this my song would be sometimes extended to a longer version.
I am only sad, I can not get this song in better quality than is on youtube. In my country it is probably impossible to buy her CDs.

Hey guys, my first post here. I'm really into piano these days and I've known Emily for quite a while. I especially like her song 'Northern Lights' because, I guess it just combines like a steady fast beat with a powerful and slow melody. All her songs are great.
Nice forum Don!

I recognize some of these new Emily fans! ;D
I am glad we get a chance to support someone like Emily. Emily is not just a great pianist she is also a great composer. Her compositions are some of the best music I've heard in years. The fact she can play so well at all at such a young age is incredible but to be able to compose such beautiful tunes, as well, is just -- well, it just adds to my astonishment and gratitude as I'm sure it does for all of you.
As long as humans exist, they will love good music and Emily is bringing beautiful music to us all. I absolutely must catch her in concert when that is possible. I know it will be the experience of a lifetime. Meanwhile, her CDs are never very far from me.

Hi Emily,
I just found out you had a forum and had to join.
My sister introduced me to you a little less than a year ago after seeing you on Ellen. Needless to say I was just amazed at the talent you have.
One of my favorite compositions is Northern Light. I love the story of how you ran down to your piano and wrote it after seeing the northern lights on the computer. You perfectly captured in music the shifting colors and lights.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful music with the world.

Hi all! I already wrote that my most favourite Emily's composition is "Journey to my heart". After some time I also have to add song "The Love in us". Yes, all her compositions are beautiful but at this moment these two are incredible for me. The love in us is also available at link: ellen.warnerbros.com/EllenMediaPlayer/playerqt.html?=emily0111I awfully love how she plays this song mainly how she plays it by left hand. I asked my niece playing the piano for several years about it and she said me that everybody would play it in this way but for me it looks very funny and when I see Emily playing this song I have to laugh. I don't know whether it is only my feeling or someone has the same feeling. Petee

I was listening to some of Emily's compositions the other night and actually broke down in tears, just from the emotion she put into the music, and I'm a 38 year old man! The fact that she's so young and composing like this is incredible - I guess when she says she plays from her heart she's telling the truth. I can't wait to hear more! I just hope she doesn't get too much into Jazz, although if she does, I'm sure Jazz will be better for it. I'd rather hear Emily compose some original symphonies with the emotion she puts into her music!

Whammy,
I know what you mean about listening to Emily's music, she can bring out emotions in a person. I have a feeling she will be composing all types of music depending upon her mood at the time she is writing. In the video petee posted you can see she was in kinda silly mood and she composed a song using her elbow and fist. I think it fun to see Emily just goofing around at the piano. I think in the future we are gonna see some wonderful things from Emily including entire symphonies, as well as jazz and who knows maybe even some music for movies. I think at this point she has the talent to do anything she wants in life and the world of music will be much better off for it, but I also believe she should spend as mush time as she can just being a kid and doing kid things, because this time in her life is so brief and this is where the foundation of her years to come arise.

Yeah, I don't know if you've heard 'Out of Control' but it is totally fun. It's actually one of my favorite compositions of hers. She plays part of it sloppily on purpose, obviously. It's great! I love how she can capture different moods already.

It is just fun to listen to it and it shows, how Emily literally plays with her music. Other pieces may easily move you to tears because they come from her very friendly heart, but this one obviously is on the fun side of music. Dieter

Here is a video of Emily playing "Out Of Control" enjoy VIDEO don Thanks Don for that video. I very like its part between 35th and 47th second. Especially after 40th second (or 35 seconds to the end) I am not able to track Emily's fingers. She plays that part so fast. Incredible. Petee
