Two of the best musical documentaries about two astonishing musical youth programms:
First " El sistema" - Promise of music
( Part1/11)
second the arab-jewisch youth orchestra Divan by Daniel Barenboims. Therefore he was honored by the Olympic Comitee and was one of the people who carried the olympic flag in London.
" Knowledge is the beginning"
(Part 1)
Would'nt it be nice if Emily played with these two orchestras?
I"ll make a break for some days. Come on!!!

As nobody other continues here at first Diana Damrau in a few Mozart and Salieri, I recommend 15:20-15:45. This piece by Salieri had not been sung for 200 years because of the high notes, f-sharp and g. Her voice is breathtaking.
second Damrau in another genre. From the Musical " My fair lady" - " Ich hätt getanzt heut Nacht" In this TV show every guest has to make a kind of "Hausmusik" with Götz Alsmann. a well known german jazz musician. In this show she told the TV hosts that "My fair lady" was her first role after University. In the end of this show there is always someone who praises the guest. In her case it was Placido Domingo. She decided to become an opera singer because she saw Domingo in La Traviata on TV when she was 12 years old.

Until 2010 Götz Alsmamn was the TV host in another music show. It would have been the perfect show for Emily, for example to show her new jazz CD. Here are two pearls with his guest Jamie Cullum. First Jamie Cullums version of Rihannas " Don't stop the music" and the Götz Alsmann Band
then with Jamie Cullum and Götz Alsmann "Georgia on my mind"

Also a part of the Trapp movie. The american folk song "Old Black Joe" (1853)- Stephen Foster(1826-1861), as I mentioned in the other thread the " Wiener Sängerkaben" sang in reality.
Please excuse my typing mistakes, I know the things or get them like Emily would say in 10 minutes, but then I have to translate my knowledge in my I-phone, and its quite tiresome to modify every mistake. -)))

I like this scene very much also its a very disturbing scene. There is one comment on youtube who expresses it excellently. " Playing the piano like there is no tomorrow" . He does not know if he will be killed after his performance.
Adrian Brody and Thomas Kretschmann in "The Pianist"- Roman Polanski
The polish pianist and actor Janusz Olejniczak is the real pianist(Brodys hands)
Frederic Chopin - Ballade Nr. 1 G-Minor

Attention!!! Today is the 193. birthday of Clara Schumann (Wieck) 13.09.1819
There is a worldwide google doodle
And here is one piece of her:
Romance in a-minor (Christina Ortiz)
This would be a fantastic piece for Emily to start her concert in two days. " We begin with a piece of an old prodigy played by the US prodigy Emily Bear" It would fit her very well!!! But I think its too late-((((
Start with this piece. Then some movie scores (e.g. Up) then switch to Emily own compositions and in the end some jazz from Emily and others and some Gershwin. ( Summertime) and as extra piece some artistic like The Boogie So Emily could start a transition from her child years to her teens. A kind of goodbye to the cuteness. Or the other way around. This piece or something similar as climax of the concert. This would be a programm!!!!

Once upon a time 31 years ago on 19.09.1981 it took place one of the most famous concerts in modern music history. Some people see it as " The Concert"
Simon & Garfunkel in the Central Park ( 500.000 people)
Wouldn't it be nice if Emily took a keyboard, her sister a mini harp and Jonathan his violin and then play some "street music" in the Central Park.-)) Perhaps their interpretations of "Scarorough Fair" and "Bridge over Troubled Water". This would be a cool trio!!!

Here some motivation for Emily: One of the best brass ensembles. Bob Ross and the brass ensemble of the Munich Philarmonics "Blechschaden" Blech is the german word for simple metall. And the players of the brass instruments are the "Blechbläser" Its a german pun. If your car is damaged it has a " Blechschaden".
First: Smoke on the water
Second: Pirates of the caribean
Third: Your song

Thanks hosepipe, somebody posted something. Finally!!! Yes!!!!!-))))
Go on!!!
And the prodigy of my hometown!!!! David Garett (Bongartz) He took his mothers maiden name. I hope you saw the link of his flashmob in New York I posted earlier. Some time ago he told in a german TV show that his parents weren't lucky as he showed them the acceptance letter of Juillard. They did not know that he wanted to go there. And he also won a competition in composing there.
