Hi, thanks Petee, somebody answered.-) What do you think if everybody suggests some music on a daily basis without genre limits. I start with Diana Damrau - Queen of the knight II ( Youtube) I would post a direct link if I knew how to do it with my I phone. Lets go!!! Lets get this forum more lively!

Eulenspiegel I am not against your idea and I hope other members join it and post some of their favorite songs or actual song finding. However, I am not sure about daily basis. Just let it a bit spontaneous. Petee

I am a big fan of The Beatles. ;D I like their song Norwegian Wood quite a lot. The original: Then we played it in my elementary school band. Which made me love it that much more. (I'm in the alto saxophone section.) I also like their songs Yesterday, Blackbird, Something, and Eleanor Rigby.

Thanks Sarah, thanks that somebody reacted to my idea. yes, the beatles are fantastic. When I was in 9th or 10 grade many year ago we discussed " She's leaving home" in our English lesson. I think the violins stresses the crying of the parents who gave their child everything but love. (" We gave her everything money could buy"). Am I correct that you play soccer.(Fußball). Are you the new Mia Hamm?-). In a few hours I will warch the game Germany - Ghana on tv( women u 20) The us girls are in the same group-))) PS. Look for Paul McCartney - White House Michelle Your first lady was very delighted

My dailly music: Peter Maffay - Ich wollte nie erwachsen sein ( I never wanted to grow up) ( youtube user akaritae) Many people in Germany grew up with Maffays Rock Music for Kid in the recent years. And its a animated video. Sometimes German is a beautiful language. He has a beautiful voice. He is a full known rock musician. Yoo could say if Bruce Springsteen woul write something for kids....

Hi, thanks eulenspiegel for reminding me the Luzie and that fairy tale. Both I know very good. And Cinderella you mentioned belongs to my favorite fairy tales and it has beautiful music. However, there is one fairy tale I love and it has also beautiful music. Name is The Feather Fairy (Perinbaba in Slovak) and this song is for you Emily (I hope you will like it) Petee

Also here something special on this special day. Bobby McFerrin and the people of Leipzig in the year 2000 during the "Swinging Bach Festival" This improvisation of the Ave Maria was one of the best performances I have ever seen. When I saw this on TV I was stunned.

In the end of this special day my favourite interpretation of a Gershwin song, " Embracable you" by Oletta Adams. In the 90s I saw a docu about the Cd production of " To the Glory of Gershwin" with Larry Adler (1914-2001) feat. different stars. There is also a "Summertime" version with Peter Gabriel on this CD

Today some pop/rock from germany. Here is Herbert Grönemeyer., the man who played Robert Schumann in the movie with Nastassja Kinski. Some of you will know him also from the famous german movie " Das Boot" by Wolfgang Petersen where he played a young propaganda journalist. Today he is one of the biggest pop stars in Germany. So he opened the Footbal World Cup in 2006. On his last tour 550.000 people visited his concerts. This song was written by him after his wife died by breast cancer. Here you can find the german text and the english translation lyricstranslate.com/en/der-weg-way.html-0
