"The Red Fish." Interesting name for a bar! I won't be in New York in May...I'll be in Michigan at the end of May...hmmm. I wonder what kind of things she'll play.

We don't know if this concert is a private concert or a gala or anything like that yet, though, Andreea.

LOVING that jazz!!!! I can't believe how much she's progressed since her last album with "Jazz Angles"! I read in another thread that Emily will be returning to Switzerland and will be going to London this summer...Why not Florida yet? As far as I've heard, the only reason she's come to Florida so far is for vacation! (There's nothing wrong with that, but I don't get to hear her perform when she's here for vacation! ) Even if she came to Alabama or Georgia, I doubt I'd be able to see her; my parents wouldn't be receptive to the idea of driving out of state for one concert, if only for practicality. Also Don, what other songs/pieces did she perform? Could you maybe upload them but leave them as unlisted?

I read on Emily's Twitter that she's excited about the Big Band concert tomorrow night. ;D Don, I know you're going; do you think you'll be able to get video? I love seeing Emily play jazz/swing/boogie woogie.
I hope she comes to my state sometime this summer (on any of the days that I'm NOT out of state!).

Someone who does not like Emily (I won't say who it is publicly on the forum) has made multiple accounts and disliked that video about 15 times; if y'all would go and like it (even if it's just for Emily's sake), I'd appreciate it. If Emily ever does see that video, I don't want her to see all of the dislikes.

This isn't related to Emily's rescoring, but I didn't feel that this was off-topic enough to put in the "various topics" board. I've been doing a little orchestrating to Emily's music. I've never orchestrated anything and I've only played the piano and the violin, so this is all a grand experiment. I'm sure Emily will think it sounds awful, but I gotta start somewhere. So far, I've only done "The Love in Us" (which isn't even done yet) with violin and cello (whose staves I placed above the piano part instead of below it... ), which is under construction here: www.noteflight.com/scores/view/591b50bf9b384d38ed8cd47e911c4845556f1c44

In the video of Perelada, I noticed that at certain parts, the orchestra seemed to rush the beat, especially at the ending. However, the only recording of Peralada that has been published was the version recorded on someone's phone, so I'm sure that the acoustics aren't the best, which could contribute to the couple of blips I think I heard.
This is my first time hearing this Schumann concerto; I'm ashamed to say that I haven't heard it prior to Emily posting it. I will take a peek at the sheet music and see what it looks like. I will point out that it's really hard to find an accurate copy of any sheet music on the internet; I like to buy my sheet music in books from professional companies (Alfred, etc.) so that I have a complete version. From the online full-orchestra version I saw, the orchestra did stop and start at the right times. I'd be surprised if they didn't.
Regardless, Emily did a wonderful job and I think that the orchestra did too, all in all. If I recall correctly from Emily's Facebook, she was only in NM for about a week to practice with the orchestra and I have no idea how many days out of the seven that she was able to do a full rehearsal. She and the orchestra definitely did better than I could have done. I get nervous when playing with one other instrument, nevermind a full orchestra.
