Hi accskaguy,
I very much enjoyed reading your post, because you exactly describe how I felt. It's funny, about half a year ago I did not care at all about young talents, but there are two girls which completely changed that, one was Connie Talbot, the other was Emily.
When I saw Emily the first time on Ellen's show, I was truly amazed, because her talent is paramount. But the more and more I learned of her I never stopped being amazed. She may not like to hear it herself, but she is simply extraordinary. I don't know anyone who can create such beautiful pieces in just 5 or ten minutes, and play them on a very advanced level.
About her education: as far as I can judge from far, Emily gets the best training she could wish. She has the best teachers, who help her develop all her possibilities. She is not pushed at all, she just loves playing the piano and it seems she hardly can stop to do it. And I think Emily very much knows what she wants herself, she obviously was brought up to be a very self confident little girl, so actually I do not worry at all about her, she could not be in a better environment.

Hi all, I spend again on Internet some hours but wasn't very succesful. I am starting to have the impression that I found everything what was available there so far and I only have to wait for new contributions. However I hope I am wrong and there are still many Emily's media hidden somewhere they only need higher level and time to find them. ;D However back to point. I found one picture I don't remember I already ever saw. Both attached pictures are pictures of user pablokorona famous from yuotube. This picture is known but it is linked to Emily because of its name. However, I would like to know if that hand is Emily's hand. (I want to believe it is) ;D and this one is for me new (maybe for someone as well) and valuable because it is from year 2007: Petee P.S. After comparing both pictures I can say it is hand of Emily in first one. I found the same smudge on piano on both pictures. ;D Hi Peter, This first photo is so funny, but knowing it is Emily's hand it is a gem. I did not know this image so far, thanks so much for sharing these, the first is for sure my favorite, altough on the second you see much more Emily Dieter

Thanks zz,
for providing us this video, this is a nice little report, and she players Northern Lights again in such a wonderful manner. Now, she is collecting awards already at her early age. I thought this video had been posted here already but I couldn't find it anymore.
So, thanks again

Hi Peter,
I can't understand this guy well, he obviously wants to show people things on the computer, it is simply boring, and it has no connection to Emily at all. Sometimes people do funny things ....

Hi Peter, Thanks for that find again. As I am like you living in Europe I won't be able to record, but they have a page where they present the weeks more important videos. I hope Emily's performance will be there. The Link is abcnews.go.com/gmaDieter

Hi Peter,
Thanks for that link, this is really useful. I already have a lot of fun with my piano. I practice whenever I can. And this guy seems to have a complete basic course there, which is great until I have my first "real" lesson. I already know a bit about piano and I played several instruments before, but he has great tips, very useful for me. I found my right hand needs much more training. Maybe the left hand is already trained well through the guitar.

Hi Charlie, Again a warm welcome here. I am a bit late, but I have an excuse, which is loads of work at the job I never learned piano, but always wanted to. And last week I went to a music store and they had this Korg stage piano. I tried it and I very much liked the feeling of the keys and the sound, both are so close to a real piano that I could not make a difference, you can hear the dynamics and those fine noises of the strings and the wooden body as if it was a real one. But the main point is you can use headphones, which I think my neighbors would like most So I bought it, and now I need to get some lessons. and here it is: Dieter

Hi Chris, I really like your approach. It is different, but it sounds great. That reminds me how long I did not touch my guitar. I was in a music store last week, and if it was not I already had spent tons of money I think I would own a new guitar today Dieter

An update,
A first success: the orphaned state has been removed, so the link count has increased. I think today or next weekend I will try to setup a encycopledic structure, so that the stub state also hopefully can be removed soon. Fortunately the usable material about Emily is constantly increasing. Thanks especially Peter for you great research work for the forum, which also always helps me with the Wikipedia article.
